I bought this as the sun has finally started to come out, and it's been a solid addition to my garden tools. The lightweight design makes it easy to maneuver, and the cutting width handles overgrown areas efficiently. The quick blade change system is a nice touch, allowing for minimal downtime. In the past, I've spent hours trying to change my blade. However, I did notice that the battery life is somewhat short; after about 30-40 minutes of use, it needs a recharge, which can interrupt longer gardening sessions. Despite this, the trimmer's performance and ease of use make it a worthwhile purchase for maintaining a tidy garden. 5/5 from me.

I have needed to buy a strimmer for a while now as I am constantly borrowing them from family members. I wanted a cordless strimmer as it is a pain to run a cable all the way to the edge of my garden, it also makes the strimmer more maneuverable and much quicker to set up especially when you need to strim cut lots of different patches of grass. The strimmer was easy to assemble, the handle was a bit fiddly but one it's on there you will never have to take it off. Initially I was worried about the use of plastic blades as they are not as widely available. In my experience the blades are extremely durable and I haven't broken any so far. The strimmer also comes with several replacements and they can be purchased for a reasonable price. The battery lasts for a very long time and is quick to recharge. I only have to recharge it every few cuts. The strimmer is quite lightweight and comfortable to use. I have used it up to half an hour with no issues.

I am happy with the strimmer as it is great to be free of trailing cable plus the 40 volt battery gives plenty of power. The reason I take a star off is the cutting blades do not last long if they hit anything heavier than grass but having said that I do not have a very big garden so it will not be too big of a financial problem. I can certainly recommend the machine and seller.

Got another under warranty as first failed after 18 months. No quibble with replacement

I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this product due to the comments about fiddly construction of the handle as I have no one to help me. I needn’t have worried. It’s supplied with a small spanner and ratchet to help you. It was easy to attach and I had it ready to use in just over five minutes, so I really don’t understand why people have had issues with it. Anyway, I’m a woman in my 60’s and just over 5ft tall and I had no issues with the weight of this either. I would advise wearing gloves and goggles if cutting tall weeds as was the case for me. I have a small field that was very overgrown, some of the weeds were over 4ft tall and consisted of grass and thick nettles. However I followed the instructions that said you should cut them down bit by bit which worked really well, cutting off the tops first and then moving down the weeds until there was just a stubble at the bottom. Because the weeds were tough, the battery lasted just over 40 minutes which was enough for me as I needed a rest! Changing the blades is a breeze and the holder for spare blades on the handle is a nice touch. For me in Ireland Amazon's Prime wasn’t a delivery option on this item and £28 delivery charge was steep so I took advantage of this by combining purchases of an extra battery and spare blades and I’m glad that I did. Having the spare battery meant that I didn’t have to wait until the original was recharged. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this strimmer and I think Swift have done a great job. It’s powerful and effective and as you can see by the before and after photos it can take on tough weeds with relative ease. I still have to finish the rest of the field by the way, waiting for a dry day! Based on this strimmers performance I’m hoping to save enough to buy their hedge trimmer next!

Having previously bought the Swift cordless lawn mower and been REALLY impressed with it, I decided to buy this cordless trimmer. Easy enough to put together, although I had trouble pushing the battery down far enough for the “click”. It has taken me a couple of cuts to get the angle right for optimum strim, but the biggest drawback is when you are strimming the edges of the lawn and the blades catch anything more solid than grass the blades just break and/or fly off. So I’ve used it twice and that’s 4 blades of the 6 provided, destroyed. I had to track one to a far corner of the garden. I have only given 3 stars for that reason. It doesn’t do the job of edging the lawn without hassle.

My first electric grass trimmer, works great! First time use the the blade vs string, really like the design: easy to change the blades and work well on the thick grass. It come with 4 extra blades and I can easily find replacement blades on amazon and they are not expansive. I also like it’s light weight, and it is well balanced when I using it. Few more things that I like: the extra blades can be easily stored in the grip of the trimmer smart design! And the metal wire blade protector is very useful to protect the blades! Nice trimmer recommend it!
