Current Sensing Switch, Normally Open Current Sensing Switch Adjustable AC 0.2-30A SZC23-NO-AL-

I installed a 2000 watt inverter to supply AC to the absorption refrigerator in my class C motorhome. that way I could make sure it was cold without having to run it on propane while I am driving. I ran the hot lead for the AC through the hole in this current sensor and hooked up a led light to it's contacts and now I have an indication of when my refrigerator is actually running. I guess I don't need to know that, but I like to keep track of what's going on in my motorhome. So far it's been very reliable and was simple to set up.

I used this switch to turn a lamp on/off that was installed at the bottom of a staircase and powered on a separate circuit from the light at the top of the stairs. The switch operated by sensing the current in a traveler on a two-way switch at the bottom of the stairs (no neutral available there) and triggered a relay to handle the current needed for the lamp. The modified circuit works with approximately a one-second delay, which does not impact the ability to fully light the stairway for use.

I've wired this in to my 3D printer enclosure to make sure the exhaust fan turns on when the printer is running. This device keeps me from needing a dedicated switch for the fan, and ensures that the fan only turns on when the printer is active and pulling more amps for the motors and heating. I've knocked it one star for two reasons. First, the screw terminals to attach wires are very shallow and I'm concerned about long term retention. Second, the shape is very awkward for wiring it into a standard electrical box and still accessing the current adjustment screw.

when my sump pump turns on the red light comes on, which was what I wanted. I used the black wire as the trigger, I did 2 loops with it.

Not actually missing, just disappeared in the hole. Looks like a slotted head screw rather than a phillips head. I did get it adjusted.

Works great. I used it to turn on an indicator light in my electric utility vehicle, when charging is underway and complete. The load line of the AC cord supplying the charger goes through the sensing hole, and then the on/off switch in this product controls power to the led indicator light. I was ablt to adjust the sensitivity so that my indicator light was on when battery was being charged and went off when the charger reduced to trickle charge. Great product.
