This book is a great grappling book. The photos are well done and the descriptions are good. The variations on each technique hit the right amount, giving a few but not overloading with a dozen variations of one move. Even though it is just meant to be an introductory text to Sambo I liked it enough to wish it was a little bigger, particularly the mat work section. Overall though no complaints.

This is about one out of four or fives books that are any good for sambo... It is small but is packed full of information, the other books if any one is interested are sambo Encyclopaedia Steve Scott 2015, Let's learn sambo 1996, sambo the science of winning 2012.

This book is very short. In my opinion, too short to be worth anything. Mr. Bodycomb sells instructional videos on his webpage, which are, in my view, much better value. For additional resources, the Sila Partera Channel in Youtube, from Ivan Vasylchuk, has excellent free material (they also have a shop with videos for sale).

Great pictures and basics on Sambo.

The pictures are great, the contents are brief, short book but well put together. I don't believe there were very many submissions.

The Sambo Wrestling book is fantastic if you want a frame by frame view of how to perform throws and other take downs. I am very happy with the book, it was straight forward and direct.

A nice, if brief, introduction to sambo techniques. Would've like more content. Guess I'll just have to go train in New Orleans!

missing many things but deffenetly a good start for someone new ! plenty of pictures well described ! good for refresher or want to learn !

Simple easy to use techniques which act as an introduction to this art. Short book but information is first rate.
