Made my pigs HUGE!
Update: I stand by the facts in my previous review, but upgraded the stars to 5 and here is why. This feeder, an automatic water and electric fence wire made having pigs painless!! You could even go away and not worry about them having feed, water or getting out. Several of our friends who had been raising pigs prior to us decided to get the feeder too. No waste unlike when we had the buckets. The best feed to use are PELLETS, but we felt our girls preferred the mashed better. **HUGE learning** if you use mash when the pigs put their wet noses into the feed it will turn the mash into a SOLID clump and when you check their feed level it will appear still full and that all is ok. It's NOT!! You have to actually pick up the lid where the hogs eat and ensure it is still filling and not clogged. Previous Feedback I ordered two of these units at the same time so that I could reduce the fighting with my two feeder pigs. The top cover of these will be critical to keeping the feed dry. Well one unit the top was made perfect, however the second unit the top was a full 1" shorter which made it unable to close. We moved the hinge holes to accommodate this issue, but would have expected that if you order two of the same thing then the items would be the same. The other funny side effect is both of my pigs now have big black marks on them where ever the feeder lid touches. So on their nose, neck back of head almost like a huge T.

Tough enough for six hungry hogs!
I've been using this feeder to keep my hogs fed for about four months now. It is heavily built and although it took a while to put together, I had no problems but I would recommend following the instructions and not tightening any fasteners until it is completely assembled. At first the hogs wanted to argue over whose turn it was to eat, but once they got their bellies full, the arguments went away after they knew the feed was there day and night. I've had up to six hogs sharing it with no problems but I would recommend thoroughly fastening it to a post buried in the ground. Mine is bolted to a hog panel by sandwiching the panel between the feeder and boards then I have posts on both sides of the feeder. The feeder is in the open and the feed stays dry even during a heavy blowing rain. The feed I use is ground up (not pelleted) and the hogs are able to completely empty it out with no feed left 'caked' in the corners to spoil and grow mold. It is also 'goat resistant'. My pasture is shared with goats and before I had this, I had to stand by while the pigs ate because the goats would run them off. Now, the pigs can walk away and the goats can't figure out how to open the lid to eat... Comical to watch! lol The goats give up and the pigs go back to eating. Much better than the cheaper 'dog' feeders.

Decent Quality, Nice Feeder
First off, after every negative review mentioning bent parts, I would have assumed that they would change the packaging of their product. They have not. Several parts were bent, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Just seems odd, as it is not packaged very well. Instructions to put together were straightforward, took about 20 minutes. Once complete, it seems sturdy enough, although it could be made a little heavier. Pigs like it so far, and it works well for 2 pigs. I would buy again, and I really have no real complaints. It will work well for 4h. If I was a full time producer, I don't know that it would last very long for every day commercial use.

Solid build
Worked out well for our two pigs. Food does get caked into the feed bin from time to time but otherwise works great, sturdy and has stood up to the elements for several months.

Arrived damaged, broke on first use
I really really wanted to like this. Like many others, mine arrived bent and warped. No problem, we gently hammered it back into place and assembled it. A bit ugly but usable. On the first day my two young pigs managed to break the feed flap off, and I can’t seem to find anywhere that Brower sells the replacement side rod holder piece, making this completely useless. Great idea, very poorly made.

Pigs love the feeder!
We have raised pigs in the past and fed them twice per day, morning and night. Since that is how we fed pigs while I was growing up on our hobby farms I though there was no other way. After doing some research I realized that pigs grow best when they have unlimited access to clean water and food. My kids had been asking me to raise pigs again, so when a friend had pigs available for a bargain price of $50.00 each I bought four of them. The only problem was that it was February in Northern VT where the temperatures drop below 0 degrees F at night on a regular basis. A friend of mine who is 70 years old said that we could put them in a enclosure in his garage. Since he had never raised hogs I wanted to make it easy for him and the feeder seemed like a tool that could help him. Sure enough I was right! The pigs were of two sizes 2 each 50 lbs and 2 each 30 pounds, in my old way of feeding the bigger pigs would have bullied the smaller ones out of the way to get the food first. With the feeder the hogs have access to food 24/7 and eat like crazy and do not fight over the food. In the first 5 days our pigs have already eaten 50 lbs of feed, there is no waste of food with the exception of the food that is on their noses and gets deposited in the water bowl when they drink. The feeder itself is of a quality design and should hold up well to daily use of the pigs while they are under 100 pounds, it is yet to be seen how well it will hold up when they get to be 200 pounds. While the pigs are young the feeder holds more than enough grain, but as the hogs get bigger and food consumption increases it looks like it will need to be filled daily. Overall my friend, the pigs and I are very satisfied with this product.

Works but construction of parts was cheap.
For the price paid I expected a better product. It seems sturdy enough now that it’s assembled, but I had to re-bend several parts to get things to line up and get the feeder assembled. It seemed the parts weren’t bent right where ever they were produced. One panel was bent up down the middle. It functions properly now. The pictures in the assembly manual are difficult to understand, I ended up putting it together with trial and error.

Excellent item and reasonably priced. It had a slight dent and bend in some places I guess due to shipping but it was an easy fix to straighten out. Pigs learnt quickly how to get feed from it and it saved the mess on the ground and the fighting.

It says it is for 4 adult pigs but only one adult pig can eat at it at a time

Works well. I did have to put a small strip of rubber under the feed lid, the constant banging from the pigs going in and out for food can be a bit annoying. But keeps the food dry and is well built.

Had it less than 24 hours and our 2, 7 month old pigs destroyed it . Very thin metal. Sad very sad!

Works well for my pigs. A little flimsy but also very tough. listen to the reviews about installing and you’ll be fine.
