Nerf Cross Bolt

Well crafted gun. No problems with bullets jamming which sometimes happens with Nerf. Anytime we have Nerf wars this gun comes out to play. LOL. It is fun to be able to treat it like it’s a real crossbow. They’ve done a good job with that.

This is the first edition of a new on-line document developed by the RUSA CODES Materials Reviewing Committee in 2003/2004. Its primary purpose is to guide librarians who wish to become reviewers on the elements that make up a good review; in addition, it warns about elements to avoid. Reviews in some publications (such as Library Journal) are written for a library audience; the purpose of such reviews is not only to evaluate the quality of a specific item but also to assess how it may fit into an academic, public, school, or special library collection. Selectors may also use reviews for reader’s advisory and for program planning (such as book or film clubs). Publishers and authors may use reviews to promote sales, to improve existing products, and to develop future products. Scholars and students may use reviews to track and evaluate publishing trends as well as related cultural and social changes. Reviewers should be qualified to judge the reliability and validity of facts presented in materials that they evaluate, to compare such materials to similar works, and to determine whether such materials provide a greater understanding of a specific subject. Consequently, reviewers should have a solid academic background and/or strong personal or professional interest in the subject of the materials examined. Fiction reviewers should have an extensive background and/or a keen interest in literature. Reviewers need to schedule sufficient time and obtain appropriate equipment (such as a CD player for music recordings or a DVD player for films) to examine and write about materials. I gifted this to my son over a year ago, and since having it I think it is time to write a review for it. First the good; This has seen almost daily use for over a year, and in that time I can say that this is of very good build quality. We have moved once since then, nothing was damaged in the move, and with daily use I can also say that I have had no parts break, the elastic band is still just as strong as ever, and the accuracy has not changed since the first fire. When firing the dart drops a smidge, so when aiming I suggest you aim a little bit high and you should hit your mark pretty much each time. The clip that feeds this spring has held up with continual use as well, making feeding the crossbow very easy. This can accept name brand and off brand darts just fine, and fires each one just as easy as the rest. Now for the notes of mention; This thing is VERY strong, so when firing it you should really make sure you know where you are aiming. If you are in close range this will hurt as it still stings quite a bit from about 30 feet as well. I would suggest eye protection for sure as the dart does travel rather fast. If you try and rapid fire there is a change you could pull two darts into the chamber, and if one of your darts has a crimp in it when this fires it may dry fire, leaving the dart crumpled in the chamber as the elastic goes over it rather than firing it. These are both VERY easy fixes as there is an access door on the top of the crossbow in which when you open it you have direct access to the chamber and you can remove the damaged or extra dart with either your fingers or tweezers if need be. The pump for this is also a bit tight as you pull it back, so if you have a younger child trying to rack this they might need help until they get used to it. As for safety features, this guy is very safe overall. The trigger is kind of stiff, meaning that just bumping it will not fire the dart, you must pull the trigger. Another feature is that if the access door on top of the barrel is open the bow will not fire, even if you attempt to pull the trigger, meaning you cannot damage your fingers when trying to empty it. Once the clip is empty you will also not be able to rack it, so this will not dry fire, and if you attempt to pull back the elastic without using the pump it will lock, but it will not fire unless you use the pump with a dart, so there isn’t anyway to bypass the safety features. Overall I think this is a wonderfully fun today, that you can use for years and not have to worry about it breaking or losing power as long as you use it as intended. I do recommend safety goggles as this is a strong toy, but overall if you are looking for a fun and piece of unique nerf equipment look further.

My favorite nerf gun and it isn't even close. Most accurate and best distance of any of the unmodded guns. This one is the equalizer! Does jam occasionally (but normally when I let someone else use it). Seems to jam less if you pull the string cocker up and back quickly.

I was hesitant to get this, because of critical reviews that stated the gun jammed. I got it anyway, and was most impressed. The range is the best I've seen, and I haven't had any of the jamming issues that others have reported. Its main drawback, however, is the scopes. They're really *ahem* something. The barrel is really low, so you have to imagine it in ways most other guns don't force you to. But if you keep in mind that the barrel is between the second and third rectangles on the wings, then it seems to be okay. Other people may not have found this to be an issue, I'm used to the scopes on the Triad which are very accurate. One other thing that I am worried about it that the string will eventually fray. It seems very well made, but it may eventually disintegrate.

It looks very good. It’s a birthday present, so haven’t seen it in action, yet. The shipping was fast very satisfied with that. The price seemed very reasonable. So far very satisfied I only rated with what I know & haven’t seen it in action yet.

このクロスボウ型のモデルの弦はお飾りではなく、実際に発射装置として機能するものです。 正直、威力はそんなにないだろうな、と侮っていました。しかし・・・。 オレンジトリガーのモデルは、ランページ、ロングショット(ゾンビ版)、スリングファイアと所持していますが、 それらと比べて圧倒的にパワーが高いです。 もちろん多少個体差はあるものとは思いますが、少なくとも現在自分の所持しているブラスターの中でぶっっっちぎりで【最強】です。 サクションダーツで4～５ｍほど離れた的に打つ場合、前述３種オレンジトリガーは問題なくバチンとくっつくのですが、 クロスボルトはドカーーンと跳弾して自分の足元までダーツが帰ってくるほどでした。 「こいつは威力がありすぎる！」。 とはいえ、弦が動力となっている以上、そのうち疲れて丸くなっていくものと思います。 その点については、ハイパワーを維持したい方にとっては懸念になるかもしれません。 私の場合は上記のように主に室内でサクションダーツを使用するので、むしろ早く丸くなって貰いたい。 ゆえに、しばらくドカドカ酷使しようと思っています。 「こいつは威力がありすぎる！」。 ・グリップを握った際に手首や親指の付け根に若干干渉するので、手が大きい方はストレスかもしれません。 もう少しフィット感があると良かったかな。 ・コッキングは割と静かです。他モデルが「ジャキン、ガチャン」という感じに比べて、こちらは「シャカ、シャカ」くらいです。 ただし、発射音（弦の響き）は意外と大きいです。ズバン！ビーーン・・・、と大きな音と残響が鳴ります。 ＴＶゲームでのクロスボウといえば隠密武器なのですが、このクロスボウでは隠密は難しそうです。 ・ジャム アクセスドアが二つもあり、海外レビューでは「ジャムファクトリー」なんて称する人もいましたが、 私のクロスボルトはとりあえず早々に100発ほど撃ちましたがジャムりませんでした。グッドボーイ。 もちろん個体差はあるかもしれませんが。 ・マガジン周辺 マガジンはしっかり装着しないとポロっと落ちます。 セットした目安の「カチン」という音がメチャクチャ小さく、それらしい手応えもほとんど無いので、 セットしたつもりでも落ちる恐れがあります。 また、マガジンが弾切れになるとスライドが固まり、コッキングできなくなります。 弾切れの目安としては分かりやすいのですが、壊れたのかと度々不安になります。 ・やはりデザインがカッコイイ。 最終的には、もう細かいことはどうでも良くなります。 良いブラスターです。 アタリ固体との出会いに感謝。

Definitely shoots farther and faster than any of the other (many) nerf guns we have at work. Seems to jam maybe 5-10% of the time, which so far hasn't felt like too much given the range it provides over the other guns. One minor thing though is that the dart usually moves so fast that if you're used to firing the other nerf guns and seeing where the bullet goes to adjust your aim on the next shot, that is difficult with this one because often the dart will just zoom off and hit the target without you being able to follow it.

Getting the mag out has been pretty difficult for my kids. Other then that it's a real good Nerf gun.
