Worked out great for hiking, the insulation is a bonus that helps keep the water at a good temperature even when it’s hot

I bought these for hikes in the mountains and workouts. The are really well constructed and sturdy. Simple to adjust. Very comfortable. The insulation compartment keeps water and anything else inside it super cool for an extended period.Right off the jump, we took these for a 15mi march. They were superb.

I purchased this hydration pack back in January for a trip in May. We had terrible weather so I just took it out to get it prepped and discovered the straw will not connect to the bladder My husband purchased one as well and his has no issue. Although the manufacturer (Mothybot) sells this with a warranty, there is no contact information available. I love the look of my pack, but it is not usable in this condition.update: The company contacted me after I posted the review with my issue. They sent me a new bladder and made sure I was satisfied. I now own 3 of these hydration packs and I am very satisfied with the customer service and the pack. It is not too big but is able to hold everything I need when hiking. Highly recommend

I love the bag itself. It's comfortable, with the perfect amount of pockets.As for the water bag- no matter what I do the water tastes like plastic!

(Inside Nor Out) • The black color bleds - now the pink backpack has multiple black stains. • The reflective material on the shoulder straps and on the front of the bag does not appear to be reflective at allIf you are looking for a water repellent hydration backpack, this one fails the test. The marketing image with the water splashing off the backpack gives the impression that it repels water, but this is clearly not the case when I tested this backpack in the shower. In their description, it also mentions that the nylon material is water repellent - again - it did not repel water.I stuffed the inner pocket with three pairs of dry shorts: one black, light blue, and orange. I also stuffed the inner smaller pocket with a piece of kitchen paper towel.To test, I put on my 100% polyester jacket and hiking pants and then strapped on the backpack. Then I let the shower run for approximately two minutes max total. I had faced both away and direct on to the shower spray.After the two minutes were up, I unbuckled and noticed that it had collected water and pooled on the inside. I flipped the backup upside down to allow it to drain with everything still closed and zipped up.In the video that I uploaded, you can see that when I opened up the zipper to access the first pocket to pull out the shorts, you will notice how drenched the shorts got. The orange shorts demonstrated the best because the coloration change is highly effective. The darker orange spots illustrates how soaked it got from the water penetrating through the backpack material.The black shorts is hard to tell, but it got wet also.The last pair of shorts are the light blue, and it too, absorbed some water.The straps were wet as did the two side credit card holder pockets. Other than plastic/metal credit card, I wouldn’t recommend placing anything of paper material in those pockets - they will get soak and break apart.Overall, this is a decent hydration pack - though I wouldn’t advertise it as water repellent because it is not. For dry weather hiking, this backpack may serve its purpose - though I didn’t test how long the water stays cold. The straw snaps on and off easily and sucking the water was easy. This is more of a water repellent review. That being said, I would discourage placing anything that required staying dry inside this backpack (passports, tickets, receipts or other water sensitive items - camera - phone - chargers - etc) inside this pack. I would recommend placing them inside zip lock bags if you haven no other alternatives.

Love all the room for extra things and good quality

It was damaged after using for a couple of times as seen in the photos. I had high expectations because there was a lot of good feedback in that regard. I am not sure if I received a defective item that got damaged in time. However, the bag itself comes in handy and has many pockets.**Update***I changed my review from one to four. After I published my review, I was contacted by mothybot. They were extremely supportive and assured me that their products are highly tested and of good quality. They offered me a replacement. Even though I did not receive the backpack at the time, following up on a complaint and responding to it shows a lot about the company. They are concerned about their products and their clients.

We have taken this to Africa, Brazil, skiing in Europe - it holds up very well, allows us to keep a few snacks or clothes in and the service has been great!
