My husband is currently on Drill Sergeant duty so my son wanted to dress up like a Drill Sergeant this Halloween. I needed a fake campaign hat that was brown with prime shipping and this was the only one (the others on Amazon are green). I was concerned because other reviewers said their hat arrived crushed in a flat box but our hat arrived in an appropriately sized box in perfect condition! The shape and quality are good for a costume and it looks exactly like the picture. It was a little big on my son (he's a 5-foot, 95 lb 12-yr-old) so it might be too big for a smaller child (but there's a drawstring that hangs under the hat to tighten it under your jaw or behind your head). All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase!

Well made and makes an excellent prop

For Halloween, my son was dressing up as Smokey the Bear. The felt hat worked well for a quick costume idea and was relatively inexpensive. I added a SMOKEY label and it was an easy costume. The hat instead is a soft felt with a ribbon. If your child steps on the hat it will flatten it pretty easily, but works great for a costume. It fit my 6 year olds child’s head for size reference.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter’s Halloween costume. The proportion to her size is quite large, but it has an adjustable strap that easily keeps it on her head. The quality for the price is really good. The picture is pretty accurate to how the hat looks in person, maybe sliiiightly darker in person. It’s obviously not realistic quality... but I honestly don’t think you could find a better deal if you are looking for a costume accessory.

This thing is perfect it's going to work great

It was clearly cheaply made, the ribbon had a serious crease in it, but it fit a medium/small adult head ok and did the trick for a community theater performance.

Arrived in excellent condition. Exactly as advertised. Did good!!!

I have never written a review before, but feel this one deserves it. Cheaply made. There are four indents at the top of the hat. It appears that one was pushed in the wrong way and they tried to cover it up with some kind of tape. Wish I had Amazon Prime so that I could return it for free. It would cost me more to ship it back and replace it than it's worth. Guess my third graders will just have to be really careful not to damage it more.

This hat was a gift but the quality was not what we had expected, more like a fun hallowe'en hat than a gift you would bring for a someone in Costa Rica who wanted something representing Canada. So unfortunately we did not take the gift.
