works as expected, highly recommended
I've been looking for exactly this type of motion sensor control for a long time. The last one I tried almost works (not sure the brand) and looks exactly the same be behaves differently - it would turn off the light after the delay time, even if motion was detected - the light would be off for a few seconds and then would trigger if I waved my hand. So no matter what I would be in the dark for a few seconds. This one (ECOELER) will do something we in electronics would call retriggering, if any motion was detected before the end of the delay time, it would re-start the delay time, no dark time - lights would stay on until no more motion detected and the end of the delay time was reached. I've tried this on 2 of the units I've bought and both behave the same and quite reliably - some have stated they got false triggers (when it turns on by itself with no motion detect), I did not see any false triggers so far (been using for about 3 weeks now), always turns on ONLY if motion detected and always turns off after about the correct delay time. I'm using this on LED lighting (didn't try any other types of lighting or load), no problems. I DID set the sensitivity and ambient levels both to 5 (maybe this caused false triggers for some people). I didn't need ambient so I set it to 5 (instructions say this is off)(ambient allows the light to stay off if there is already enough background light). I didn't need sensitivity so high but it seems to work anyway (I only need short sensitivity but don't mind long so I set it to max long, 5) - it seems to have about a 90 degree detection cone (+/-45 degree from center). Time delay I set to 1min at first and this worked ok but a bit too short, now set to 5 min and this is just right for me. Note that all three of these settings are analog rotary trim potentiometers (variable resistors) so they are approximate. I only used occupancy mode, did not try vacancy mode(my understanding is vacancy mode means manual turn on, auto time off with no retrigger, that is, it turns off after the delay time, motion is not detected or used). I can see how this may be a useful feature for some but not for my case, I wanted hands free operation and in one case, the switch is located far away, awkward to reach . I've only seen this type of retriggering motion detection on an outdoor security light and that one did not always trigger properly when I moved into range, and I think it was much more expensive (but it was a whole fixture, not just a wall module). Another type of motion detector I've had used a separate wireless battery (3AAA) sensor that sends a signal to the main controller. This worked reliably but needed to change the batteries every year and eventually I forgot, and when I remembered to change them, the batteries had leaked and corroded the guts. Also it was NOT a retrigger sensor and so it always left me in the dark for a few seconds before the next trigger (not really bad but still annoying). Now I've switched to this ECOELER and won't look back. This is the BEST, highly recommended!

Good product at great price
I replaced several manual switches in windowless rooms (pantry, walk-in closet, bathrooms) with these clever occupancy/vacancy sensor switches. Installation was easy, and so is the programming of range, light sensitivity, and turn-off delay via 3 small dials underneath the manual on/off switch. The switches work exactly as advertised, and what more could you ask for? Buying a 4 pack of these devices saved me considerable $ compared to national hardware store chains.

Works good
Works good. Just wish the timer allowed less than 30 minutes.

Works Exactly The Way I Wanted
I needed a sensor that would turn the lights on as soon as I walked into our garage, stay on as long as I was in there, turn off a few minutes after I left, and then turn on again even if I walked in 1 second after they had automatically turned off. I first tried the TOPGREENER TDOS5 sensor and wasted hours trying to get it to turn back on after automatically turning off. Maybe I had a dud, but I suspect bad design. If the timer was set for 30 minutes, the lights wouldn't automatically turn back on until they had been OUT for 30 minutes. Very frustrating! I then ordered this Ecoeler sensor, which happened to be $4 less, and it works EXACTLY the way I want it to. Win-Win. To be fair, there were a couple of setup issues. The ambient light detector was too sensitive for my purposes, and the lights wouldn't turn on with even a small amount of light in the garage. I turned the light adjustment CCW thinking that would be minimum sensitivity. I had to read the instructions to find out that you have to set the pot fully CW to "5" to disable the light sensor. I almost deducted 1 star because they made me read the instructions! The second issue was with the range adjustment. The sensor is next to the door and I need it to detect someone as soon as they step through the door. I had to set the range to minimum (CCW) to do that reliably. Now the maximum reliable detection range is only about 15 feet, but I can live with that. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!

No customer service
I've had the Ecoelor motion sensor light switch for a little less than 6 months. The unit controls an under cabinet light in the kitchen. Both were installed by myself in mid February. This is the 4th indoor motion sensor that I have installed, so I'm not a novice. Evrything worked flawlessly until 2 days ago. The sensor was detecting motion, but would not turn on the light. When the units on/off switch was pushed, the light would come on, and stay on as long as there was motion. However, if I left the room, and the light turned off, It would come back only if I I came back in within 35 seconds. After 35 seconds, forget it. I emailed the company with their provided email address on the instructions, and that email address doesn't exist. I tried tracking them down every way possible, but somehow, they don't exist. I looked up the warranty on Amazons website, and found that it was a whopping 5 WEEKS. How poor is that, especially given that they can't be contacted anyway's. If you buy Ecoeler products, and I'm not sure why you would after reading this, you are definitely on your own.
