Works well
Worked well keeping my battery topped off while using a diesel heater. Considering getting another one for a similar application.

My first entry into solar and thus panel as worked awesome
Bought 2 of these. 1 keeps the batteries on my rv charged up so I don't have an extension cord running from my house across my lawn and driveway. The second powers a diesel heater and charges the battery we have set up in the barn. We don't have electricity way out there so got this to try and it's worked amazingly well. It's easy to setup and move if need be. Cable length is nice and long.

Are you sure about solar for your new garage?
The panel and all that came with it appear sturdy and was easy enough to mount. I've taken one star off as the controller directions are a little sparse and there is not a lot on Youtube talking about controllers (Scott seems knowledgeable.) My plan was to use the panel to charge a battery and plug my 1/2 hp garage door opener (60w) into an inverter. Therein lies the rub. Reddit is in my inbox all the time and a question came in about doing a similar setup. The poster wanted to know why his battery was always draining despite minimal use. An informed answer said the inverter never sleeps. Even on standby, it's using 10 to 20 watts, 24 hours a day. So, at most - even with full sun - I could go a few days before the battery is drained. (And it may have drained beyond repair.) If I got a bigger battery(100ah), that might go a week before needing to plug in a charger for 15 hours or so. Unless I can find a timer for the inverter, solar isn't going to work in my application. I'll probably end up using the panel with a solar generator. As for the garage door opener, I've run an extension cord the 75' distance from my house; we'll get quotes from electricians.

Great option for ordering a few panels at a time!
First off, for anyone wondering these are not the same panels as the older version of the 170 watt, but same size. I've ended up with about half of the old style and half of the new style...but close enough in specs. They are easy to connect, do your research but you almost can't hook these up wrong. They are a good value for the money, especially for those of use who don't have the budget to order a whole pallet at a time. The size seems to be a little bigger than the standard 100 watt panels, but not too large thar you can't handle them by yourself. Seems to be very durable, however the plastic corners often get broken off during shipping. Would be awesome to see a pack of replacements from the manufacturer. I haven't researched these vs other panels admittedly, but seems to be pretty efficient. Two panels hooked up to a 1100 watt inverter and an upgraded solar charge controller will run 150 watts or so almost all day and night hooked up to two 12 v batteries (largest AGM from Bass Pro). I've ran TV's and wifi, grill, fans, ect...obviously depends on your setup but will charge your solar batteries and do what is needed for a good battery life.

Decent frame but poor controller and missing parts
I actually bought two of these kits, one for my setup and another to install on a friend’s RV, but the second panel arrived without the connection cables, which made installation impossible until I purchased replacements separately. The frame looks sturdy and well built. However, the included 30A charge controller doesn’t seem to regulate properly, sometimes it won’t turn on, and other times it provides no clear indication of charging. It’s also frustrating that the system doesn’t clearly support lithium batteries, despite conflicting information in the manual. Overall, the build of the panels seems fine, but the inconsistent controller performance, poor documentation, and missing components make this a disappointing purchase.

So good
Such great solar panels, especially for the price. They worked well with my inverter and never had any issues with them. Even had a hail storm and they handled it so well.

Very satisfied
As a budget starter kit this works great. Out of the box the solar panel and charge controller were easy to connect together. As every battery type is different, you made need additional hardware depending on what terminals are on yours. In my case, I have a lead acid car battery with half inch terminals. To connect them I used a pair of basic terminal busses. Other than the terminal busses which are specific to your battery, the kit contains all necessary cables and fittings to connect the components to each other and a battery. Once connected to the battery, the charge controller screen lights up. Then when the panel is connected and in sunlight the battery begins charging. Rooftop installation hardware is straight forward to install and seems quite durable. With an 800W inverter I purchased separately, I can now power my work shed off grid with this kit. I'm planning to buy a second one of these kits and expand both to 300W each, which will allow for backup home power during outages.

Very simple to setup. Using for an off grid garage. Simple battery charging and lighting setup. I will probably invest more into the setup but for the time being it is great. Currently running led lights, usb chargers and a diesel heater without any problems.

Commander pour maintenir la charge d'une batterie de 75Ah pour une clôture d'un kilomètre. Exposé sud, sans végétation. Remplit très bien son rôle.
