Nice curtain rod.
For ease of putting the rod up it is very difficult for one person to install.Changing the curtains would be an inconvenience because two people would have to unscrew the screws. It seems very sturdy. We were able to find wood so it is secured in the wall very well. The rod itself seems to be well made. I did opt for the longer size according to other reviewers suggestion. It is pretty and I love the room darkening feature.Overall I am very happy with it.I would recommend. But it is very expensive.

Sturdy and Easy to Install
I must have spent over 3 hours trying to find a decent, sturdy wrap-around curtain rod. Reviews for these seemed good. I ordered the size that would give me more overlap in the rods for more sturdiness. I found them easy to install myself. I did replace the screws with longer once, as I was able to use studs and the window header, and didn't need to install the drywall anchors and shorter screws. The rod is easy to remove and put back up again when I put the curtains up and take them down.

All's well that ends well :)
I will update this review if urbanest living gets back too me. The rod itself looks good but there's some big problems with how this product is presented to the customer: First, there are no directions for hanging the curtain rod (I realize it isn't rocket science, but still). Second - no screws or drywall sockets AT ALL. Three - I was sent 2 sets of tie-backs instead of one(why would I need two?). Four - Urbanest doesn't answer their phone and Five - no invoice, no nothing in the box.I called Urbanest Living and got a recording. On a holiday weekend you would think a brick and mortar store would be open. The rod is supposed to be hung on Monday - how is this going to happen with no screws or instructions? I guess we just figure it out and go to home depot and buy the screws and drywall sockets ourselves.Edit: In Urbanest's defense, they did call me and left a message that they would mend any problem with the order. I left a message back (Chris) that I will be returning the extra tieback and do expect them to pay for shipping as I only ordered one. I changed my review stars to 3 because they responded to me and I appreciate that. Once the rod was up it is very nice and very study. I'm happy with the item itself. If Urbanest doesn't approve my return and pay for shipping.....I'll be baaaaaack.Edit 6/3/14 I am giving Urbanest Living a five star recommendation. They immediately gave me a credit for the extra tie back (without sending me a label...I'm still looking for one) and also personally called me to amend the issues in my email to them. They are a quality company and this is a good curtain rod.

These installed quickly and feel very sturdy. My curtains wrap around to the wall which ...
Works exactly as described. I ordered in two lengths and for the longest one we used the middle support bracket, there has been no sagging. I wanted something modern and clean, this fit the bill perfectly. These installed quickly and feel very sturdy. My curtains wrap around to the wall which is great for blocking the light. I would buy again if I needed more.

Difficult installation but worth it.
The best feature is that they wrap around so blackout curtains will block out more light that's coming form the sides. The worst feature is that curtain grommets get stuck on the section where the middle bar connects to the two end bars. There is a fix however, you need to get double sided tape and a tape measure and stick the tape measure blade over the full length of the bar. [...] This was initially a huge pain because I installed onto the wall the pieces that the rod fits into, took the rod down then applied the measuring tape. In the process the rods moved into one another and became shorter so when I went to put them into the wall pieces it didn't fit and I couldn't adjust because the tape measure was already on. Had to take the tape measure off then put the rod in place and reapply tape and tape measure while the rod was hanging 12 feet high which was difficult. Although it was definitely a pain, now everything works perfectly and it's so nice to be able to easily black out a room during the day.

Recommend!
I was worried that this would not project far enough from the wall to accommodate for the vertical blind set up that projects out but they cleared them and we still could have moved them a bit further out if necessary. I bought them for this reason and their use with blackout curtains so the wraparound ends are perfect. As for the sturdiness, I noticed what appeared to be a slight sag where one rod goes into the other (only on one side) and this is even with the center support bracket, BUT this could just be due to uneven measuring and or instillation by my husband. I’m not worried about it. The rod is plenty sturdy to hold up the curtains and we won’t be pulling on it. This one did come from Amazon but I just bought another one in white for our nursery from Home Depot (because Amazon was out) and I will be buying two more in black for my boys’ rooms (from whoever gets them in stock first). They look nice and I do recommend.

Top notch product and customer service
I bought 8 of these a few months ago for use in my dedicated home theater. I was just able to start hanging them recently. One of the rods had two left ends which prevented me from tightening the right side as the screw was on the top side. I sent an email to urbanst that evening and the very next morning had a reply that they would sent the correct part out 2 day priority. It just arrived today ahead of schedule. So for customer service they get an A+++.The rod itself is also top notch. I am hanging room darkening Absolute Zero home theater curtains on these and the wrap around feature is great. The rods are not even visible which is exactly what I was looking for. Each end bracket has two holes and the wall anchors were already included. If I had it all to do over again I would definitely buy these same rods. The product is exactly what I was looking for and the customer service is first class.

Love it!
Love it! The one inch wide curtain rod is definitely the way to go. Makes our living room look so much more upscale. Good quality and easy to install. Already ordered more. Highly recommended!
