Good product

Cooker works as advertised for me, and is very capable. I was looking for a smaller Hawkins cooker because all I had was an 8L classic model which took noticeably longer to get up to pressure. I use this on a modern induction cooktop (Frigidaire Professional) as well as on a cast iron hot plate. 2 cups of cool tap water (in Wisconsin) in the 3L hevibase take about 7 1/2 minutes to get steady steam coming from the vent tube, and after putting on the vent weight, I get my first whistle at 11 minutes. Cooks evenly and well, and I've already made some great Indian recipes with it. The manual it comes with is for the previous Hevibase model (which is NOT for induction) but I assure you mine works great on induction. In fact the manual had some pages inserted explaining this, and what sentences in the manual don't apply any longer.

What a horrible buy. The gasket doesn’t sit well on the lid at all. I used it a few times hoping eventually it will expand due to heat but nothing worked. I missed the return window. But repeated frustration compelled me to write this review so make other customers are aware of this problem. Will never shop from this website again. They send you the junk product without inspecting.

Esta olla es muy rápida a la hora de la cocción, buen control de su presión, muy fácil de usar y se ajusta muy bien a mi fogón de inducción.

It works well, but I need a capacity for 8 liters. However, when I close the lid, it gets dirty, making it difficult to fill properly for any use. Because of the design of the lid, we can't prepare a 7-liter curry. I believe that to accommodate 8 liters, we will need to buy a 12-liter capacity cooker.

It’s much better than the one that comes with the lighter base.
