Overlanding and camping
I have the 52qt in the back of my fj cruiser, currently just with a ratchet strap through the tie downs and to the front and rear fj tie downs and another across the front and it appears to hold in place solidly. I might remove the wheels to save an extra inch or so. But it fits next to the power outlet longways front to back and there is enough clearance in this configuration to open the fridge door. I spoke with Lynn from acopower who was very helpful and I collected a unit from the walnut California office. If anyone else is wondering they clarified you can safely leave power connected even when the battery is fully charged and the battery is turned on. That is important for me as I want to have the fridge connected to car power when driving and automatically be running off of battery when the engine is off/overnight. (The manual states it should be disconnected when battery is charged). I also have the 90w acopower solar panel which appears enough to run the fridge and charge the battery. The construction is somewhat plastiky; it’s clear all the money has gone into design, the li battery and the compressor which it appears upon inspection it is indeed a high quality lg unit. Setting the unit cold it will get from room temp to fridge temps super quickly, maybe 15-20 mins. As you move to freezer temps (down below freezing) the cooling rate slows as it works harder so definitely want to prechill it from ac/dc/solar rather than use the battery if possible. I don’t have a good overnight run time report from the battery yet as I’ve used it at high altitude at cold temps so it didn’t really need to work too hard. Acopower could probably have a solid overland/offfroad version if they added tie downs to both sides rather than just the rear and offered it in a squared off design without wheels so it could sit easily in a slide. For the price I think it’s great. If you are mainly using it for extended vehicle journey/overlanding you save the cost of buying another car leisure battery which you then need to find space for and also don’t need a dc/dc charger to keep that battery maintained from the alternator or main battery. Space-wise it fits a surprising amount. Mainly because all the space is available unlike a cooler where you add ice or ice packs. It’s profile is smaller than my 55qt lifetime cooler (great cooler) and appears to hold more as no ice. If it’s not clear from the instructions. You have to power the battery on with the button on the actual battery if you want that to be in an active state or to charge. The fridge will run from mains/dc without the battery inserted or with it inserted and turned off but it won’t change if not initially turned on. I have it in a big open space in the back of the fj. You probably would not want to run it in too much of an enclosed trunk space because of the heat kicked out from the vents as the compressor works. It could probably also do with a little extra insulation, once turned off the temp can climb quite quickly unlike a cooler. Maybe I’ll add another’s layer on top of the lid. But works fine when used as designed. The mobile app is ok (search for “portable freezer” in the App Store) and you can fiddle with the settings remotely with Bluetooth whilst driving which is good. It’s a bit flakey if the app is left open and then used again after a period - tends to just crash/close but opening it again is then fine. The first time you pair it (or it looks like afternoon removing battery) you have to reconfirm the pairing by pressing the cog icon on the fridge when it prompts in the app. I’ll update it after a few more months of use if anything interesting is learnt. But I think a good product so far that fills a specific need I had for ac/dc and battery power at the right price.

Best Cooler on Planet Earth Hands Down.
It's a bit pricey, but we'll worth the money. Extremely flexible on how many ways you can power this refrigerator. Very heavy duty construction. I'm 60 yrs young, and I work in a factory melting rubber into most of the hoses that are on your vehicles. Because of the ovens in here, the temp hovers between mid to upper 90's and some days will reach tripe digits. I bought the largest 52 Quart Cooler at first, and let me tell you, it holds a lot of my quart size water and Gatorade bottles with room to spare. In my 60 yrs I've never owed a Cooler that I have loved and appreciated more then this company's coolers. I was so taken by this cooler I also 3 months later bought the 32 Quart Cooler as well. The big one was just a little big to use as a work Cooler getting it in and out of my little Honda ever day. So I purchased the smaller and It has been fantastic as well. They have covered ever angle on power to run these Coolers. A/C, Car Cord, Fantastic Battery that powers it for an incredible 10 hrs if camping or tailgating, And then there's Solor Shields as the #4 power option. You can spend a week up in the mountains and power it by Solar Shield by day, and go to Battery by night. And you don't have to worry about your battery being depleted because the Solar will be charging your battery back up while running your Cooler during the day, TOTALLY INGENIOUS DESIGN. I'm in love with both my coolers and there customer service is top notch as well. I did have a couple small issues at first and they jumped right on them and sent me what I need the very next day, no questions asked. Here's how great they are, the Coolers come with both cords and 1 battery. If you want a back up spare battery, it will cost you $159 which is a fare price to run the Cooler an additional 10 hrs when not near A/C. Well after they addressed my issues, they shipped me a brand new "Free Battery" for being a new customer. Oh, and the Batteries and cords fit in all 3 of the sizes they sell. This company stands behind there products 110%. I highly recommend these Coolers.

Excellent portable cooler and freezer!
I use this product for football tailgating activities and it has performed very well so far (four games). I plug it in at a hotel to cool it and charge the battery, then switch to battery power and load it into a van, plug it in to a generator during tailgating, and again switch to battery power during and after the game. I tested the freezer capability on the first night and it quickly went to around 0 degrees and froze some freezer packs that I use for other coolers. When used as a refrigerator, my primary use, it easily handles around 60 brats from a meat shop, several packs of hot dogs, condiments, fruit, miscellaneous beverages, etc. with no problem. The interior light is handy, the controls are easy to use and understand, the cooling seems to be quick and even, and the battery does not appear to have gone below 75% yet even after running the refrigerator for around 4-5 hours. Since it is an electronic appliance, I recommend treating it with more care than you would treat an ordinary cooler. We treat it relatively gently while loading and unloading, keep it out of direct rain, and avoid stacking a lot of stuff on top of it. While the unit is perfectly strong and reliable, these are just common sense precautions for any complex appliance. I have been extremely impressed with my 52 quart LiON Cooler!

Absolutely Ridiculous!
I purchased this about a week ago and when I received it, it was immediately clear that this was previously returned. half the packaging was missing and it had a smell. No biggy, right? Well we set it all up and it will not turn on. At this point we were hopeful that we just received a bad one. So we returned it and ordered a replacement. Get the new one, good news it appears to turn on, but the display doesn’t work. At this point, we are over it. Save your time, buy something else

I recently purchased the ACOPOWER LiONCooler Car Fridge Freezer with high hopes of adding a convenient and reliable appliance to our outdoor adventures. Unfortunately, my experience with this product and Amazon's handling of the situation has been nothing short of disappointing. Upon receiving the ACOPOWER LiONCooler, I was dismayed to find that the product was defective right out of the box. The plastic casing was noticeably bent, raising immediate concerns about the product's durability and quality control. To make matters worse, the charger provided with the unit was non-functional, rendering the fridge freezer completely useless. The initial disappointment of receiving a defective product was exacerbated by the subsequent frustration I encountered when attempting to resolve the issue. I followed Amazon's established return process diligently, returning the faulty item promptly. Despite having shipped the product back to Amazon weeks ago, I have yet to receive a refund or any meaningful communication regarding the status of my return. What's most upsetting about this situation is the extended period of time I've had to wait for a resolution. The fact that Amazon has already received the return weeks ago, and yet I still do not have my refund, is utterly disappointing. This unnecessary delay has left me without the funds to invest in a replacement, making it impossible for me to explore alternative options to meet my needs. I have always regarded Amazon as a reliable platform with exceptional customer service. However, this experience has left me questioning the effectiveness of their support in situations like mine. A simple defective product has turned into a drawn-out ordeal, leaving me without a functioning appliance and the financial flexibility to make a suitable replacement purchase. In light of this experience, I urge potential buyers to exercise caution when considering the ACOPOWER LiONCooler Car Fridge Freezer and to manage their expectations when it comes to Amazon's return and refund processes. I sincerely hope that Amazon can address the issues I have faced and provide me with a swift resolution so that I can regain my trust in their services. It is my hope that sharing my experience will shed light on the challenges I've faced and prompt Amazon to take action to prevent such situations in the future. As a loyal customer, I believe in the potential for improvement and look forward to seeing the necessary changes implemented. Pros: N/A Cons: Defective product on arrival Bent plastic casing Non-functional charger Extended wait time for refund despite return receipt Recommendation: Exercise caution when considering the ACOPOWER LiONCooler Car Fridge Freezer and be prepared for potential delays in the return and refund process with Amazon.

I received my Lion Acopower fridge/freezer and immediately plugged it in. It cooled from 75 degrees to 32 degrees in 18 minutes! It is well built and very attractive . It is quiet and I would recommend it to friends. I will update in a few months but it looks like a winner!

First amazing quick delivery ! From California to Canada in 2 days ! Very happy it is easy to maneuver, and lighter than I expected , which I wanted for the back of my SUV for travelling . I got X50A the biggest and I’m glad I did it has quite a lot of room in a L shape a part of the top comprising of the space for the compressor . The battery is a great size to charge and convenience. Plus very easy to charge . It has wheels and handle while not rugged are perfect in keeping with the maneuverability and obviously not to pulled over rocks or rough . Perfect for taking in and out of vehicle . The 12v is accessible from the rear meaning I can charge if needed while travelling from my rear 12v input . Most impressive is once registered I received a personal email hoping my product arrived in good shape and if not immediately notify them . Such a change from some companies . I did also purchase the ac adapter to enable in house use or precharging before my trips . If looking to purchase check their package deals , which I missed . They have solar panels and unit , ac adapter and unit , panels , small solar generators and the unit available. I missed this and it would be a complete package . Of course I haven’t gone a trip yet but my research says it can run and recharge easily with the battery best is to get 2 then your good to go . And you don’t need a huge wattage solar charger to charge the batteries .

A one of a kind cooler. I tested this out for a week camping using the built-in battery and a 120 amp hour lifepo4 12 volt battery. I charged the batteries with a solar panel. I also brought along a little 1000 watt inverter generator just in case the weather was cloudy for a number of days. The cooler performed admirably. The bluetooth app on my Galaxy note 9 worked well and was a nice convenience. Being on wheels is also a big plus. They are a larger wheel and seem to be sturdy enough. You might want to be a little careful on really rough terrain (naturally) but overall I went over small to medium size rocks and roots without a problem. The temperature was a bit colder at the bottom of the cooler than at the top but that is normal for these types of portable coolers where the compressor is mounted differently than in a household refrigerator. This is not an issue tough, it kept everything Frozen when set as a freezer and cold when set as a fridge. I read somewhere that it uses an LG compressor which is a great choice. I have not tested the claim of 10 hours of refrigeration time with the built-in battery but I suspect that to be close to that under normal conditions. Being able to charge the battery separately with a solar panel is a big plus for me! The battery is very useful to keep the fridge running while I'm heading to my campsite in the boat or while I'm charging my larger battery in the sun or any other occasion where you can't use other sources of power for awhile. I'm surprised nobody has thought of this before. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend this fridge/freezer whole heartedly.
