Simple but works!

I'm mainly writing this to let you know there *IS* a suction mount included. It's not overly clear.... I went with this one because the other single option ended up being equally expensive with shipping, and would arrive later. The only reason I almost didn't get this one is because I didn't see any indication that a suction mount was included! IT IS! And it was easy to install. Other than that - I can't really say how well it works - I assume fine, it was intact and built correctly. Our fish wasn't showing signs of bother, though - so now we won't really tell if it helped or not - I just decided it was a good idea to get it, just in case.

So most importantly I no longer get zapped. Also I have and Emporer Angel who also displayed some sort of issues with white spots, indents, etc. I was reading about their actual susceptible issues with leaking current. After purchasing this in just about two weeks he now looks perfect after he displayed a sickly look for about a year. Wish I would have discovered this sooner. And for those electricians who say these are bad because they complete the circuit, stick to dry electricity and housing clowns 🤡 because your clueless. This grounding rod is a MUST HAVE!

Woke up to one of my power heads fizzing and buzzing in my 75g salwater tank..the wire that attaches to the powerhead had came apart exposing the copper wires...i'm sure it was just sparking away i there.....I've had this powerhead for atleast 2 years... i also noticed my old powersurge strip's "protected/grounded" light was out....tried resettting but did't come back on so I decided to just replace it with a new one...I didn't know anything about stray voltage in fish tanks until i started researching exposed/damaged wires in tanks just a couple of days ago when my powerhead took a dump..through the long years of owning fishtanks...I've never once been electrocuted while sticking my hand in the water...but since i ran across this subject while googling, i decided to test the voltage in the tank....with the filters, powerheads, heater, and light on and without the grounding probe, it was showing around 65 volts (A/C) !!....and with the grounding probe in, it drops to 0.013 volts....i mean from 65v to near 0v is pretty darn good...ive ran the test multple times and the same results so im assuming it works...stuck my hand in and didnt get electrocuted......the high volts in the water probably explains why majority of my fishes were disappearing...only my pair of clowns, striped wrass, and damsel survived.....i just thought maybe my female clownfish killed them because she was beginning to lay eggs and is about 4.5 inches long and very mean....she'd attack my arms and hands when i stick it in the water... but so far the probe looks to be working...it' plug directly into the wall outlet...(non gfci) ...but it'll do until i get a chance to replace some of the equipment i suppose....note* i'm running two MarineLand Penguin 350 biowheel filters.... these were showing about 25ish volts each on my meter...so i know they're the culprits.....just sad...not even 3 years old...

Gets the job done.Now I have to find where the leaking voltage is coming from!

I’ve been shocked a few times mixing saltwater from old power heads or heaters. I have two 300 gallon tanks and use it on the sump in both tanks as an insurance policy for my fish and corals. Worth the investment and inexpensive.

Good quality. I use it for my ESD safe bench setup for my common point connection. The extra fish eye is meant to be tied to the faceplate screw to ensure a dual ground connection, or if you don't have an extra plug to fill up with this product, you can just use the fish eye on the faceplate screw. Be sure to use a multimeter to test continuity between your actual ground and the faceplate screw though. And I highly recommend you use a three prong outlet tester to ensure the wiring is correct for the outlet, you will be surprised to find that many are wired incorrectly.

The chef is about 6 inches long. I want it used it to get worms out of the ground, but this thing is a joke pretty much misleading on the advertisement, but I did not read it closely enough. I was thinking that it had a rod that you could stick in the ground, but like I said, this thing was only about 6 inches long.
