Giving it 5 stars because it's 100% functional, feels rock solid, my bike doesn't move at all over bumps, on the highway etc. And it's so cheap that no other bike rack comes close to the value you get with this. The only thing I don't like about it, is the nylon straps are very low quality, I'm sure they will degrade quickly, especially if you get caught in the weather often. However, with the way it's designed, it would be very easy to replace the straps with better ones if/when that time comes. Other than that, it's very easy to use, folds up compact and takes up very little space in my trunk. It's lightweight and easy to mount by yourself. The straps are plenty long enough for any car. The instructions are very clear and give you different options for mounting depending on how your car is built.

This is a very strong excellent bike rack well made without cutting any corners on the quality of the materials. It is a design that has been a standard for fifty years. Thousands are in use. ELECTRIC BIKES ARE HEAVIER, SO CAREFULLY OBSERVE THE WEIGHT SPECIFICATION FOR THE 2, 3 OR 4 BIKE CARRIERS. It can easily be put on & removed from almost any car, unlike racks that need to be attached to a trailer mount. This is my second rack from "Allen" after forty years I retired the first one due to old age. It was still so stable that I could jerk the bike rack and shake the car!!! This bike rack is the classic design and exceptionally well built .... BUY THIS RACK

This is a very well-built bike rack and I'm going to use it for a 6 hour road trip with 3 bikes. I tested it with a short trip to a local trail with two bikes and it performed well. Set-up was fairly easy. I just followed the directions and it was pretty simple to attach to my Honda CRV. Some reviewers complained about the metal hooks, but I found that they had a smooth coating on them that should keep you from scratching up your car in any way. Just be somewhat careful when attaching. Traveling to the trail I noticed a bit of a "squeaky" noise coming from the rack. I believe that may have been caused by the soft rack support "bumper" rubbing on the rear car window. A slight repositioning of the bikes for the return trip seemed to make this go away. I noticed no shifting or problems with the rack once we got to the trail. The bikes were still securely attached and I had even made some quick starts and stops and a few hard turns, but the bikes were solid. The only thing I don't like is the fasteners that hold the bikes onto the rack. Other racks I've used have a rubber "latch" that is quick and easy to lock the bike onto the rack. These holders require you to thread the strap through and back to attach the bike. It's not terrible, but kind of a pain to do something that used to take seconds and now takes minutes. Oh well. It's not a terrible drawback, but I knocked off one star for that design deficiency. Removal of the rack was quite easy. For each strap, simply lifting the latch on each strap seems to loosen it sufficiently to remove the hook from the car. The unit doesn't take up much space when removed from your car, so that's a big plus too. Overall this is a great value for the price. I recommend this rack for all your biking needs.

I bought this primarily to carry two bikes on a cross-country trip from NY to CA, and it worked exceedingly well on my 2025 Honda CR-V. Set up/installation was a breeze. It performed perfectly with no issues at all the entire drive. For long trips, it’s smart to check the straps at each stop and retighten if needed, but that’s true for any bike rack, even the expensive ones. I also recommend tying off the straps near the buckle to help from loosening and so they don’t flap in the wind. I also used simple Velcro straps to keep the tires from moving or spinning, and adding heavy fabric or leather scratch protectors anywhere the rack or bikes touch the car. Those small extras made everything even more secure. The rack folds down for easy storage when not in use. High recommend!

Wow, this carrier is really easy to install on my wife's Mini, and carries 2 bikes easily and securely.

Tenía dudas si la primera bici (mtb 26") pegaría del para choques, maletero, pero no lo hace queda a una distancia prudente. En las imágenes 1 Talla M rin 26, 1 L rin 29 y una XXL rin 29. Se ajusta perfecto al maletero de mi Mazda 6, fácil de tensar. Solo no me gustó no trae una protección de goma el las L metálicas con las que se ajusta al auto (las fabricaré cortando una vieja cámara de bicicleta). Me falta probar rodando, no luce que pueda tomar curvas fuertes a alta velocidad sinnriesgo de perder las bicis, pero no lo puedo asegurar, aun no tomo carretera. Retroceder es dificil ya que en los espejos no se logra ver y menos en la cámara de reversa, pero si van tres bicis llevas copilotos que te pueden apoyar. No olvides guardar en el maletero lo que llevarás antes o deberás hacerlo por los respaldos de los asientos. Revisaré la opinón luego de viajar.
