Aquarium Sump Refugium DIY Kit for Protein Skimmer Sump - Chamber dividers (10 Gallon)

So I decided to take a chance on this since it was pretty cheap for what it was and it turned out great. I don't understand what people are talking about it not fitting the Aqueon 10 gallon tank but it fits mine perfectly. As far as instructions go, no there's no instructions but just look at the pictures. It's really not hard at all, you don't need instructions for this, the pictures show how it's supposed to be. If you're not sure then look at the video I posted with this. I saw there were some people that were surprised or disappointed that it didn't come with the tank? Look guys I'm sorry you didn't read when it clearly says it's the chamber dividers and that the tank nor silicone was included. I'm actually surprised it came with the piece of foam you use to put in between two of the dividers. People were saying that the pieces were thin and flimsy but if you look at the video review they are quite thick and sturdy. There was also people saying it was too pricey but have you seen the prices of already pre-built sumps? Compared to that this was pretty good I got the tank for $15 that was 50% off from Petco and these for 29 bucks so for what 45 bucks I got a sump, you can't beat that anywhere. So at the end of the day I think it's a pretty good deal for what it is especially compared to how expensive equipment can be for a salt water reef tank. I'm actually thinking to buy the 29 gallon kit just for the future whenever I eventually upgrade, just already have it on hand.

I’m using this kit on a 10 gallon Aqueon tank, fits perfectly. I have a freshwater 36 gallon bow front, using this and a canister filter, yes it’s an overkill but I have a lot of fish and snails, over filtration is always better imo. I’m very satisfied with this baffle kit.

It’s a great little kit and I set up my refugium with this easily, but there was some prep work needed. The kit is for one brand’s tank dimensions, so to fit into another brand of 10 gallon, you may need to sand the sides down so there is a slight gap for silicone to hold this properly. In my opinion, if this was sold with plastic slides to braces the panels, this could be installed in any tank brand, and could be made adjustable and more universal in fitment.

Great product, the pieces width had enough clearance for and 10 gal aquarium size variance. Using square magnets ( 4 sets at $2.00 each at a local craft shop or on amazon) made it easy to position and to glue pieces in place. Wished it came with a large foam block that was pictured to make it easier to hold the last piece in place. I ended up used a large wood match box instead. best to have the return sock and pump measurements before gluing the pieces in place. Ideally for DIYER's that don't have a table saw or a drill pres to make their own pieces. The kit did come with a foam pad to go in between the last two dividers for a pre filter.

This is the closest it got to straight. It doesn't fit typical 10g aqueon. Waste of money. And I can't cut it to size because it just shatters instead of cutting. Edit: I was trying to cut it with metal cutting scissors from my tool box. I ended up getting a circular saw that's hand held and a diamond blade for it and cut off what was necessary to then superglue to hold, then silicon seal my sump. (Reef safe products). I ended up spending like $50 on the cheapest circular saw. Luckily I really like it and will enjoy using it in future projects. But if you don't want to buy or have a tool to cut this item down to size. Beware and buy from someone else. Like the Fiji guys. Mine was about .4 inches too wide and I had a standard 10 gal aqueon.

Like others have said, these are too big for the Aqueon 10 gallon tank from Pet smart. They can only fit at an angle. I'll just use them at an angle.

This 10 gal sump kit was a perfect fit for the PetSmart/PetCo 10 gallon tank. To glue all 3 pieces I used aquarium safe super glue to glue the 4 corners of each piece in place. Then I hit it with the Loctite Clear Silicone. As for the 3rd piece, the one with the empty bottom (Return Pump Section). I used a CD/DVD and the Mesh Sponge this kit comes with for the height. It was a pretty exact fit/height compared with the other 2 pieces. Total took about 1 hour to setup.

Perfect cuts, packaging, clean and no scratches... however.. measurements were off by 3mm for my standard 10 gallon seapora glass tank. I had to use a saw and trim it... but overall good.
