Family Care Clotrimazole Cream, 1% USP

I bought this because I was a little desperate and noticed that everything I had tried so far wasn't working for me. While looking around the net for something that would help my situation I stumbled upon an article which mentions Clotrimazole as a cure for athletes foot or jock itch and I went ahead and looked for anything with this ingredient in it. To my surprise the only remedies I found were the big name brands which cost about 5 to 6 times what this product cost me on amazon.com with shipping included. I thought about spending the money and buy a name brand product but then I found this product on amazon and decided to order. I was a little skeptic at first because of the price but don't let the price fool you. This stuff really works. The first day I used it I notice significant improvement in my condition. Don't get me wrong this is not a miracle cure and it will not clear your symptoms overnight but it does work immediately. I have been using it for the last 3 days now and my symptoms have all disappeared. I have not stopped the treatment yet I will continue to use it until I run out to make sure it is fully cured and that my problem will not come back again. Just for good measure I ordered an extra tube of this topical cream to be ready if I ever need it again. It has an expiration date for 2015 so I am covered for the next 3 years. Other people have written reviews with similar results as mine. However depending on each individual case it make not work for some and it will for others. I will stick with my story and will recommend this product to anyone who suffers from athlete's foot or jock itch. A great economical alternative solution for fungus infections.

I use this product a little bit differently than advertised. I have some kind of scarring and breaking out around my waist and I use this product, along with an anti-bacterial soap and GB Powder. The combination of the 3 helps to treat my skin and keep it nice and dry throughout the day. This is also a good price as opposed to the grocery store, and even better if you purchase the 5-pack.

04-17-2011. When you have athlete foot from almost 20 years, and buy Desenex spray look for what is inside the Desenex. You might find out that you can buy a better cream called Clotrimazole cream, online on Amazon.com with only almost $7 for five tubes, and pay (shipping included) only the price for a Desenex spray. So, I used this cream, and I had better results than using the DESENEX. I recommend Clotrimazole 1% cream for athlete foot, and expecially the company Drugstoreliquidator, CA, which sold this item on AMAZON.COM - 5 tubes for the price of one tub of DESENEX. Since I use it my feet look again normal, and Ican go on the beach in this Summer. In the evening I soak my feet first in warm water for one hour, and than I USE DE CREAM. I am very happy with the product and its price. But, if you want 10 tubes for $23 go again online on Amazon.com and find it. Thank You God for the information. George

This claimed to be comparable with Lotrimin and even copied the Lotrimin colors in the packaging. The carton asks you to compare the active ingredient in Lotrimin with the active ingredient in Clotrimazole. The active ingredient in Lotrimin is Butenafine hydrochloride. The active ingredient in Clotrimazole is Clotrimazole. I tried to set up a chemistry lab to make the comparison but because I am an engineer rather than a chemist I lacked the proper training and equipment to make the comparison. I had been using Lotrimin which cost me $13.79 for the 1.1 oz tube. When I saw the Clotrimazole claim with the price tag of $0.01 for 1 oz I could not resist making the purchase. A shipping charge of $3.35 was added to my order for a total of$3.36 which was still much less than the Lotrimin. After having used both products I found that I could make a comparison without the necessity of a chemistry lab. Lotrimin relieves my jock itch completely with no side effects. Clotrimazole adds a significant burn to accompany the itch. The major portion of the burn lasts about 1 1/2 hours. After that length of time the burn and the itch are significantly reduced but not ever eliminated. The price is right but I prefer paying a higher cost for the products that leave me pain and itch free.
