Hideyuki Kikuchi's Vampire Hunter D Manga, Vol. 1

Vampire hunter D is one of my favorite Animations, this manga series dives into that world. First one takes place during the Original Film. Has some story sequences and detail extras not in the movie.

One major flaw to this is that it's impossible to read on a tablet, the way it is scaled down makes it so you can't read the text bubbles.

I love all of the Vampire Hunter D anime series. The illustration is amazing quality and the story boards are equally entertaining. The story line isn't skimpy either, unlike other anime books that I have found, this one actual has a story. My only down fall on these is that the font is too tiny to read. I end up having to blow up the page to try and ready the font-which just makes things worst by distorting and pixelating the page. I wish that this series would update their books to the panel by panel option, where it shows you an enlarged sceen shot of each panel in sequence. This makes the words appear clear and legible, plus it makes the reading experience go smoother. I do love reading these stories over and over again, but the small font makes it real tedious to do so.

I loved the novel, I loved the Anime and this Manga presentation fits beautifully in with first Vampire Hunter D novels. The scene when Doris comes to D to offer him payment before the job was finished is very well done but different from the Anime. I think this and Volume 2 are both must have for Vampire Hunter D fans.

Little damage to book, but that’s what you get for buying used. Bout over all happy with the purchase.

Although I was astounded with the novel, I truly enjoyed reading through this book, there has been some criticism about some of the drawings, but if you read the novels, love D, and you are not used to stay put into little details, you understand that this is a depiction of the first D story made by Mrs. Takaki. Nothing more, nothing less.
