Perplexus Epic, 3D Maze Game with 125 Obstacles

Excellent challenging game, arrived on time

4 things you need to get through the maze patience,precision,knowledge and memory when you come to the spirals let the spiral work the ball not the other way round great for both kids and adults perplexus are certainly not a five minute toy and I recommend to own all the maze balls as I've got them all but beware of the cheaper maze balls I've owned them in the past perplexus were the first and the quality hasn't dropped.

I first unknowingly got a fake copy of Perplexus and absolutely love it, later found out Perplexus is the original and as I’ve finished the fake copy (of the Perplexus original) I have to get the more difficult Epic. I didn’t disappoint about the game YET step 36 has a manufacturing defect (see pictures) on both the first one I received and also the replacement. In fact the replacement is slightly better, which I can push the track on top slightly through the transparent shell to let the ball go through. Note this is not an obstacle by design, I simply cannot go through step 36 on the first one I received. I’ve considered simply return it and get refund but I just can’t find a physical toy store that sell this. I’m planning to order a replacement again to see if I can get one completely free of this defect, as even there’s the “workaround” I’ve mentioned above, I worry that this issue would get worse at a point my “workaround” stopped working. I’m not sure if this is a widespread issue, as I can’t find any mentioning of step 36 online, or it is just this batch.

top spel. Dochter (11) was er blij mee. Ze had eerder een andere met 75 obstakels. die had ze vrij snel uitgespeeld maar dit is wel een echt uitdaging. Kwaliteit ook prima!

Je suis un grand enfant de 45 ans et j'adore les casse-têtes. Récemment j'ai découvert avec mes enfants les boules Perplexus ainsi que les copies noname qui circulent. Perplexus est vraiment la référence et le haut de gamme de ce genre de jouet. Les pièces plastiques sont plus qualitatives, les assemblages sont parfaits! Concernant ce modèle, la difficulté le réserve plutôt aux ados et adultes. Souvent dans les boules, il y a une ou deux difficultés astucieuses qui rendent le modèle magique (tourbillon, saut,...). Ici on en a deux, le premier est un saut de l'ange (la bille tombe depuis le haut, traverse toute la boule dans sa chute et doit atterrir dans un entonnoir/tuyau à l'extrémité basse) très amusant, et le second est un téléphérique/balançoire qu'il faudra traverser 4 fois (rail du haut sur le coté envers puis le coté endroit, et rail du bas sur le coté envers puis le coté endroit). Cette balançoire est vraiment magique et fait tout le sel de ce modèle. Je suis à l'aise sur ce type de jouet et j'ai eu besoin de 5-6 heures pour le faire en entier. Mais une fois terminée c'est toujours très amusant d'y retourner car il est ensuite possible de rechercher et d'inventer des raccourcis ou de faire certains passages à l'envers. Franchement si un peu de difficulté ne vous effraie pas (ça reste quand même raisonnable), vous pouvez commander ce modèle les yeux fermés, il est vraiment très rigolo!

Der Epic Perplexus ist wohl unter den derzeit erhältlichen Kugeln die anspruchsvollste. Nur der Perplexus Death Star (nicht mehr erhältlich) sollte noch schwieriger sein. Nichtsdestotrotz, ist es ein genialer Zeitvertreib und das lösen der abwechslungsreichen Hindernisse (Treppen, Tunnelsektion, Wippe, Gondelfahrt) für uns ein riesen Spaß. Von Vorteil ist es auf jeden Fall, dass es vier Check-Punkte (inkl. Start) gibt, so dass man nach dem Runterfallen nicht wieder von vorne starten muss. Das Durchspielen von Anfang bis Ende (ohne Nutzung der Check-Punkte) erscheint einem zunächst unmöglich, ist aber nach ausdauerndem Üben definitiv machbar und die Freude groß, wenn man es geschafft hat. Den Namen "Epic" hat er auf jeden Fall verdient. Qualitativ, wie alle Perplexuskugeln gut. Die Bahnen/Hindernisse lassen sich einwandfrei bespielen. Für ausdauernde Perplexus Liebhaber ein Must-Have.
