They Work!
My wife and I used these pills on a recent trip to Grand Teton during a backpacking trip at elevation. We were coming from sea-level, and had no problem hiking all day and sleeping overnight ~10,000 feet. We also used a drink mix (Accli-Mate) and felt no effects of altitude sickness at all. I will say, we put the pills in a small ziploc bag during our hike, and they smelled absolutely terrible, and after a few days of taking several times a day I began to have a sulfuric taste in my mouth. Small price to pay for being able to ascend with no issues, in my opinion! I'm looking forward to having these for a snowboarding trip to Colorado this winter as well.

Awesome Product!
Altitude Rx is a life saver! We just bought a vacation house in the mountains that is at 11300 feet, and we live at sea level. I had never heard of altitude sickness until I experienced it, and it was no picnic! I get it all nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness and extreme fatigue for the first 4 days. And I have experienced this 3 out of 3 times we went up to our house. I even tried staying at lower altitudes for 2 nights before heading up and still got sick. I tried Ginko Biloba and it may have helped just a little. After reading the reviews I figured this would be worth it even if it only relieved my symptoms somewhat. A warning before taking this, be careful what you eat and how full you are. The directions said take with food, but this medication has a bicarbonate effect, you can actually feel it bubbling up in to your throat. So if you take it on a full stomache you may loose your lunch so to speak. I took it after a banana smoothie and the effect was much like the banana/sprite challenge, not pretty. I took the additional doses after eating but I waited about an hour and a half. Also the directions on the bottle and the directions on their website do not match. So this is what I did. I took 2 pills for 1 day morning and night starting 24 hrs before I left. So here is the life saving part, No altitude sickness at all! The only thing I did experience which I am sure was from sleep deprivation from the drive was upon arriving in our town at 9900 feet, I felt light headed and had trouble breathing, but within 20 minutes that was gone. So after being at our house for about 3 days I did start to feel a little fatigued and my head was hurting a little so I took another dose and I was back on track. Highly recommend this product!

Works!!
Found this product to work very well at high altitude. I live @11,000 ft. elevation for part of the year & don’t suffer from headaches or overly stuffy sinuses, remember to drink lots of water @altitude!

just in case they make a difference!
Of course, I have no way of knowing if this has made a difference. I have used it a couple of times now and have done well at high altitude. In Nepal, (on both recent trips) I was really careful with following the acclimation guidelines but still felt short of breath at times early on. More recently, I was at lowish high altitude (in Japan) but didn't even notice the altitude. I certainly had no side effects from the tablets.

Did not help at all. Useless!!
I went to Colorado for skiing this year. One of my bucket list items. The trip was completely ruined. I was sick the whole time with altitude related sickness. Followed the directions on the label, but it did nothing to help alleviate altitude sickness. Ended up an an ER. I suggest people take prescription Diamox instead and not risk ruining your trip.

Made a HUGE Difference
I've been to the mountains three times. The first two times I had altitude sickness to the point where I could not eat more than one or two bites of food without feeling horribly ill. I had headaches and I was dizzy all the time. My third trip to the mountains was for a ski trip with friends a few weeks ago. I was nervous I would have the same reaction as before and would not be able to participate and drag our group down, so I got these pills in hopes to avoid that. THEY WORKED. I started taking the pills a day or so before we left and took one in the morning and one in the evening every day that we were there and I hardly had any of the the usual symptoms. I could feel sometimes the pill starting to wear off and that's when I would take my next one. That aligned with the timing of taking them on the directions. You get a lot of pills for the money. This will last you a long time. I'm so glad I got these, they saved our ski trip. I also get really bad altitude sickness while flying in airplanes. I plan on using these for my next plane trip as well. I don't care if it is just a placebo effect. It was well worth the $35 for me to not feel miserable for a week and get to enjoy the trip with my friends and family.

I am allergic to Diamox (altitude drug) and thus needed to find an alternative. I took the Altitude RX natural supplement as directed and I made it to Everest Base Camp with little to no altitude symptoms. My oxygen levels remained in the norm up to and over 17000 feet, I experienced zero nausea and only a slight headache in the morning which is normal and was cured with an advil/ibuprofen. I would highly recommend Altitude RX to any mountaineer or altitude trekker. No side effects and again I MADE IT TO EVEREST BASE CAMP!!!

Bought this specifically for the Mt Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal. I started taking Altitude RX the day before heading into the mountains and for the duration of the trek. It worked flawlessly or I was not at risk. Either way I had no major symptoms and a mild headache for a few minutes at 17,500 feet. So product certainly seemed to do its part. Will use again if trekking takes me to high altitudes.

Worked like a charm when trekking in the mountains of Uganda

Used this exactly as prescribed for a trip to Peru - Manchu Pichu. It was useless. It took the "normal" amount of time to acclimatize and I ended up using local methods (natural plants + cocoa leaf tea) from my guides to help me get over and dizzyness due to strenuous altitude days. Don't bother getting this.

It didn't work for me, I passed out 10 meters from the summit of Kilimanjaro. It might be that I live at sea level, I wonder if I had started taking it a few days earlier if it would have worked?
