The charger will cut off after the batteries are fully charged and enter maintenance mode. During this mode, the charger will turn back on if the batteries drop below a certain level to top them off.

How do I tell if I have a 36v or 48v cart?

1. Lift up the seat to view the battery compartment. 2. Count the number of holes on each battery. You may need to remove the battery cap to see the holes. 3. Multiply the number of holes on a single battery by 2 to determine that batteries voltage. 4. Multiply the golf cart battery voltage by the total number of batteries. A 36V EZGO cart will have 6 batteries with 3 holes on each battery. Each hole represents a 2 volt cell.

Per the manufacture it goes in the float mode to keep the battery charged. So far the charger has been working great. Battery always fully charged with the green light is on
