Sandalwood Hair Comb - No Static Handmade Wooden Fine Tooth Detangling Comb with Golden Painted Flower

I absolutely love this comb. It smells divine and feels wonderful. It is well made and feels nice in my hand. I expect this comb to last for a very long time. I purchased this comb after learning about how medieval women didn’t wash their hair often, but combed their hair twice a day to keep it clean. The fine teeth supposedly pulling natural hair oils through to the ends, thus conditioning them at the same time. I did a little research into wood and horn combs, materials that would have been available to the medieval woman, and chose wood to help avoid static electricity. I have found a very relaxing ritual of combing my hair day and night. It does seem to move the oils from root to the (almost) end of my shoulder length hair, but my hair had to get pretty oily before I get those oils to the ends. I gently brush my scalp, hoping to increase circulation, and skipping it feels akin to needing to brush ones teeth- does that mean my scalp is actually cleaner? At this point it doesn’t matter, because I will be brushing my hair regardless. No idea what they mean by sheerness, I mean, it’s wood, and wood is not generally sheer.

I am in love with this comb! It is SO beautiful!! I have naturally curly hair, and read about using a wooden comb with oil. I soaked this beauty in camellia oil for an hour or so prior to using it, and the results are amazing! At first I thought the comb might be too wet from soaking it, but soon after removing it from the camellia oil, it dried. Once I used the comb it did not make my hair oily at all, in fact each time I use the comb I add 2-3 drops of camellia oil in the palm of my hand, and then I rub the oil into the teeth of the comb. After I comb my hair it is calmer, smoother and silkier the next day. I wish I had known of this decades ago. I love the way the oil and comb smell, it's amazing. I've tried so many products over the years to tame my hair, and this comb with the camellia oil is truly the best thing I've ever used. Treat yourself.

Its so beautiful and I love it Even though it has a delicate appearance its very sturdy and gets through all the knots and tangles of hair. I highly recommend.

Pros: It feels nice and gives my hair a bit of the combs' scent when I use it, nothing too noticeable unless you're for some reason shoving your face into my hair. Cons: The scent, while lovely, can be a bit too strong. If you or someone you know are sensitive to strong scents, you may want to avoid sniffing the comb directly. Keep it a few inches away if you must smell it. As mentioned above, it does leave a bit a scent in your hair though not as intense as the comb itself. Overall: It's nice and I could see myself buying the comb again, if needed. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, but cautiously. Strong scents can cause asthma attacks, and some people may simply get headaches. I would make sure to inform whoever I am recommending the comb to, just to be safe.

This comb does really smell amazing. I thought people in the comments were crazy! My hair has been loving the break from plastic. I have had almost no shedding of hair using this comb. I have very fine hair. I just ordered two more for my grandma and mom for surprises. Absolutely love!😊

Excellent product. My hair was damaged from dye and bleach but I am trying to grow it out long and healthy. This comb made my hair softer and shinier, evenly distributing the oils across my hair. It also feels more luxurious than a plastic comb. I bought two more - it is also the perfect size for travel and fits in my small wallet for on the go.

Excellent quality comb! Compact enough to fit in my purse. Glides so smoothly through my naturally curly hair without creating tangles. Workmanship is just beautiful-I really love it! I can’t recommend it enough!

Love this comb. I’ve tried plastic ones and they make my hair full of static. This comb has no static and I find if you start combing from the bottom to top of my head I don’t get knots

Beautiful, smells great, feels fancy

This one has no sandalwood fragrance at all, can only smell a little bit of chemical, probably varnish. I used to own a genuine sandalwood comb, which had an amazing fragrance for years, so I know the difference. Also, the comb I got was with a hole (was told by the seller it's by new design) in the corner of the comb. Not what I expected. Definitely returning. Not sure why this one has such a high rating. Other buyers probably got a real product.

This is my favourite hair tool. I have used this for many years and it is absolutely lovely. The smell is invigorating, the design is beautiful. The only thing I would say to anyone thinking about purchasing it, is that I used woodworking tools and sanding paper to make the front tip pointier to make hair parting nice and clean. It originally came too blunt, a square tip was useless. I enjoyed carving my own tool, anyone can do it, it is very easy. Customizing it to my liking added to my love for it. in the picture you see I point to where I modified it, and this is its condition after many years of using it on wet hair, as you can see, perfect condition, like brand new. I oiled it real good, one time only, after purchase and sanding the tip. It really imparts joy every time I use it, thank you to the makers!!
