Works better than the original.
Ford dealership wanted $850+ to replace the backup camera in my 2011 Ford Edge. I purchased this camera and a local independent garage installed it for $100. They charge $100 per hour labor. I believe I could have installed it myself. The camera is excellent. Very bright picture and has the guilds lines. The lines appeared without any special efforts such as downloading some software or some special initialization. To repeat myself the picture is excellent, really clear and really bright. In fact it is brighter than the outside light. Bottom line, I paid about $215 as opposed to $850+. Could have saved a $100 by doing it myself, but thought eliminating the aggravation of doing it myself was worth the money.

Great picture
2012 Ford Edge. Oem camera lost back up guidance lines. Then image flipped upside down about 2 weeks later and then screen would go blank saying "Contact dealer". Bought this camera and it bolts right in. No extra programming required and everything came back the way it should. Camera seems to show a little more area than oem and seems to be less distorted. Great product. Oem camera is 3-4x this price.

Works Great
When my rear view camera went bad on my 2011 Ford Edge, I called the Ford Dealership to purchase a new one. When they told me it would cost $407.00 for the part and another $370.00 for an install, I went searching for alternatives. I read the reviews on this camera and because of the positive reviews (it wasn't the cheapest one I found), I decided to buy it. After watching YouTube Videos on how to install it, I took to the challenge. It took me two hours to install (I'm 74 years old) and it worked perfectly with no need to reprogram. The most difficult part for me was removing the tailgate door interior cover panel and reinstalling it.

Works Great!! - 2012 Ford Edge
Great camera for the value, almost feels better quality than OEM! Installing the camera finally fixed the annoying upside down video display issue when in reverse. Replacing the part will require a deep 11mm socket, vice grips, plastic trim-popping tools, a Phillips head, and a star-screw head.

works well 2011 Ford Edge
spent $55 to get a local mechanic to run diagnostics to confirm the camera was not working vs software issue. Ordered the camera from Master Tailgaters over cheaper options due to the significant number of reviews. Watched the installation youtube and was very easy to install. Recommend a 7/16" deep well socket to remove nuts holding camara pannel. Plugged it in and works great. less than an hour to install. Does have some of the "fisheye" look close to the tailgate, but picture is clear. Wished I had done it sooner

Good camera for a good price.
My camera went out and while I found it easy to use the side view mirrors my edge has a big rear end. Having a camera is almost a necessity in order to see how much room you have. I looked at the OEM camera from the dealer but they wanted an average $400 for one. Found this one for much less and it works just great. Graphics and aspect ratio seem a little different however that does not bother me. It works and just fine.

Fixed backup lines
This was exactly what I was looking for. Most of the replacement cameras for the 2012 Edge have the dynamic backup lines. My car did not come with that feature and they never worked right with the Edge. Always had curved lines when the steering wheel was straight. I tried 4 different cameras before I found this one. This one works just like the OEM camera with better picture quality. Highly recommend if you want the straight backup lines.

Out of the box
Easy to install on my 2012 Ford Edge. 30 minutes. Activated and everything worked. True Plug n Play. No need to calibrate. Admittedly I was a little skeptical about aftermarket, but I am thoroughly satisfied. Nice work Master Taigaters.

Installed it on a ford edge 2011. Took 1 hour with a good YouTube video. Worked instantly and no need to update or reconfigure. Grid lines are there. Basically plug and play. I hope this one last longer than the other one i bought from AUTOKAY 100$ and it lasted only 5 months.

Have it installed in a 2011 Ford Edge Ltd for about a week now. Nice clear view and lines worked right off the hop.
