Tactical Men's A.T.A.C. 2.0 6" Side Zip Desert, Ortholite Achilles Cuff, Style 12395, Dark Coyote

So I ordered the men's because they have been out of the women's forever now and I did not want to wait. They are exactly the same as the women's I ordered an 8.5 in men's and am a 10. This is my second pair of these boots and I had my first pair for 2 years. These boots are so comfortable and they are lightweight, as a bonus, they also look pretty great on the feet and the best part is that unlike most, these have a side zipper so no more tying laces. Also they are super quiet, I am a LEO and I don't always want to be heard when I'm coming up so these are perfect. 5.11 you never fail to impress, these are worth every penny, my feet thank you. Update: So it's been 2 years and these boots are still going strong. Minus some creasing that is to be expected and wear on the sole, they still look brand new. Originally I got these for work but I wear them to everything. I have done 16 hour shifts with them and have spent an entire day at an outdoor range with unstable terrain and my feet barely feel it. I've also gone hiking in the Smoky Mountains with these. I had to be talked out of going to Disney in them because my boyfriend said it was tacky but that's just how comfortable they are. I came back to buy another pair because the insole is not as comfy and cushioned anymore but I will use this pair for the range and other outdoor activities and the new pair for work. They are pricey but they are worth every penny and will last you a really long time.

It's a bit of a gamble ordering clothing online but I was confident after seeing the reviews for these shoes. My last ones had cheap hoodie-type zippers that arched in a half circle down the ankle (not the best design) and survived 11 years of use daily, but I was sad when I couldn't find them anymore after the zipper stitching detached from the shoe (right along the half-circle point which I knew would eventually be a weak point). Having found these they looked nice and a key item I was looking for was the quality of the zipper, which on these 5.11 shoes is quality duffle-bag quality and much more designed for the wear and tear feet go through. What I wasn't expecting is the quality of the rest of the shoe. Fantastic stitching, SOLID soles and metal caps through the laces. The first few days I felt like I was wearing ski boots they were so solid, but happy to say that 6 days in and they've softened nicely to my feet and are unbelievably comfortable. I wear these as a daily shoe for casual and business casual, as well as for riding my motorcycle. I may order a second pair just for storage since finding a good shoe is very hard and eventually I'll need a replacement.

Comfort of the 5.11 is outstanding. It feels like the support is a good blend of strength and flexibility, too. I'm a 6', 220 pound guy, but I'm 60 years old, not chasing or fighting anybody anymore (retired cop), so I wasn't looking for real work boot. These days, I usually wear tennis shoes (even fairly loose), but occasionally I want more support. These are a little more snug than I am used to, but they're boots, not tennis shoes, so that's on me. Compared to my old Bates USMC desert boots, these have a lot more padding around the ankle, and they're more flexible in the footbed. The shorter height is a bonus in my opinion, as is the padding, though it's still cold out, so I don't know if they'll be a bit warm in the summer. I loved the zipper CONCEPT. You know; lace the boots normally, then just use the zipper to get in and out of the boots.... It doesn't work that way. There's not enough "spare" material around the zipper zone to open the boot and slide in and out. So you end up zipping AND lacing the boots, which is just an extra step, instead of a convenience. The boots feel slightly more snug than I'd expected in this size, but again, it's been a while since I wore boots, so I think this is probably a normal fit, and the footbed / arch / toebox is perfectly sized for what I expected. I like that the boots are a bit flexible in the midsole. It feels like they're already broken in. If you like thick socks, I'm guessing you might want to order a half size up. They're a little bit darker than I expected, but still very nice looking. The sole material is a nice mix of tough but not so hard that it "clacks" when you walk. They're a little heavier than the Rocky work boots I used to love so much, but also softer and less "military" looking, so that's really what I'm after now.

Picked up these boots for the fourth time—because they never disappoint! They’re durable, comfortable, and can handle 50-70 hours of wear each week. They hold up well for about 2-3 years before the leather starts to show its age and the tread wears down. Definitely a reliable choice!

My grandson loves these boots. He has flat feet and is on his feet a lot at his job. The boots give him good support, comfort and durability (these are his 2nd boots). He especially likes the side zipper which makes it much easier to slip on and off. The price is reasonable as they hold up for 9-12 months at least. He would highly recommend these boots.

5.11's men's ATAC 2.0 boot is a great addition to the small collection of shoes that I can actually wear: I'm disabled and can't bend to lace most shoes and boots, so the added zipper is perfect for ease of wear. I can see why these boots are popular among law-enforcement and first responders because they don't weigh you down and they are super easy to get on and off. The size was correct: not too big, not too small. They fit snugly but comfortably. They breathe nicely even on hot summer days. And these boots look great, to boot!

I've owned a pair of these for 14 months. I work hospital security and put an average of 15,000 patrol steps on a shift. I've walked and run through mud and snow and these boots have held up great with very little wear showing and are still comfortable to put on each day. They grip well, are easy to clean, light on the feet and have no squeak on hard floors. I replaced the original insole after 6 months.

I absolutely love these boots I can run and fight in close hand to hand combat with these boots for my entire twelve hour shift and they are comfortable as it is not to mention with high end inserts. My only downfall with these is grip. I work in a very harsh line of work and we face all sorts of wet substances on floors which can be harmful to us in the field. When these boots hit a wet smooth surface you slide easily and have to be very cautious. My one request would be to improve the grip on wet surfaces indoors. I can’t afford to slip and fall on harmful substances. My only other suggestion would be an additional thin protection layer in our soles lining fir when we have to smash or kick in glass or doors.
