Works as expected..l

Product was ship on time and packaged nicely. The box states it’s a new product and once received is proved to be true. It comes with a lanyard so you have an option to keep around your neck, put in your pocket or back in your bag. Decently priced too. The accuracy is within +- 5% for wind speed and +- 3.6% for temperature just as stated on the box. The digital screen is clear and lights up with an appropriate amount of light. Flipping through different units is easy as well. The instructions in the box provide the threshold category which is not shown on the box. I purchased this product for a couple reasons 1.) to fly a drone and 2.) for fishing. Who knows, I may use this on my scooter just to see the correlation of wind speeds and travel speed with and against the wind. The accuracy is important to me because depending on what I am fishing for I could fish with, against, or across the wind. Regards to flying a drone, flying it in suitable wind speeds helps with planning and executing flights, avoiding dangerous situations and more. The only issue I had was removing and reinstalling the batter cap. There is much resistance when turning the cap. Also, the plastic for the cap proved to be weak as when turning with my finger nails created damage to the cap. I wonder what would happen if an actual flathead screwdriver was used. The only way I can think to help with the friction is to rub a bar soap on the lid. I’d recommend this product but I recommend being careful when replacing the battery.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works great

I use this as a last second reading of wind speed when I'm preparing to launch my drone, & for that purpose it performs admirably. If I have any issue it's that once it's set to MAX or AVG it will not exit from these so I'm forced to keep it in AVG mode to get usable data. The downside to that means the measurements take more time to calculate & display as it measures the speed as an average rather than current speed at the moment it measures. But other than that it works for me, & after a time I may upgrade this review.

great product

"LCD backlight will lasting for 5 seconds" NO, it doesn't. It shuts off in less than 1 second, and I can't read the display without the backlight. Note to engineering: Leave the backlight ON until I turn it off. I cannot rate this product for accuracy because I can't see the display. VERY disappointed. No, I would not buy this product again.

Interesting little gizmo

But I still like it. I bought this because the weather station in my US Forest Service Lookout died and needed to be able to quickly and accurately know what the wind speed. Maybe there is a way but I could never find it: To get the gauge to record on the screen with the highest wind speed was. Other than that, it’s pretty easy to use and the size is nice.

The meter arrived in no time at all and is well built and easy to use. I also appreciated the fact that it came with its own battery and simple instructions. It also reads air temp at the same time it measures wind speed, which is a bonus. Over all a great product at a very good price!!

Works as advertised. Small. Easy to read and operate. Good value for the cost. I would recommend. I can’t comment on accuracy as I don’t have anything to compare it to. But even if it’s a little off, it’s better than not knowing the wind speed at all! I trust it to be fairly accurate. I like it. Thanks.

L'anémomètre donne des vitesse de vent de 5 a 10 fois inférieur à la réalité. Et j'ai validé en me plaçant près d'un anémomètre d'une station météo d'un centre de voile. Donc totalement inutile.

Used it for a range hood

I find the reading are all over the place. Hard to use because it only reads while you are holding it in the air flow. So if you put it into a duct and then pull it out to see the flow, the reading is gone. Not recommended.
