Replacement Sling Canopy

I just got this pergola cover. It’s a replacement for the original and fit just right. It seems to be made of a heavy duty material; at least as good as the original, maybe a little better. It arrived at my front door in a timely manner. Though it would be a bit easier to put up with two people, I did it by myself and had no trouble. The only thing that remains to be seen s how well it will hold up under California’s bright sun. I’m guessing it will. 1/8/2024 - The cover held up well to the California sun and our infamous Southern California Santa Ana winds. A good product!

Love this. It is still in great shape after 6 years. Only had to replace the top once.

This is a perfect replacement cover to the OEM provided cover. Very sturdy and thick material.

It was time to replace my old canopy so I began scouring Amazon. I came across various replacement options, including cheaper ones. However, the cheaper options weighed significantly less, indicating subpar material that will not support wear amd tear. Instead, this one is on par with the original canopy. It is hefty and thick, so ready to protect you from the elements. So far, it has performed well in up to 110°F and when it rains. All while looking amazin and vibrant. Despite its weight, it is was easy to set up. Additonally, it conviniently comes with ties that keep the canopy securely in place.

Worked well. It did have a small area that had stitching missing. I fixed it.

I would absolutely consider this a) better than my original pergola topper, b) UNIVERSAL (assuming your dimensions are appropriate) “b” is probably most important because it’s such an expensive topper compared with some of the alternatives out there, and you want it to work for your existing structure I only received it yesterday, and put it up today, but the quality seems very good. I don’t anticipate water collecting in huge amounts on top, which is likely what wore out my original so quickly and caused major tearing (it also only lasted a single season, even taking it down for fall/ winter) If you can swing the cost, I’d go this route. The canopy alone is 17 lbs and permeable… so far the wind isn’t creating any lift underneath and I DO NOT have the pergola with the track system… I am currently using the built-in ties and I have makeshifted some “weight rods” using 10x0.5 rebar (cut to size) and spray painted them to thread through the opening on either side… they’re still drying so the pic won’t show that part, I’ve highlighted what I mean in blue… the weight rods for a pergola canopy are $60 and rebar is like $5 per piece… seemed like a no brainer to me

Really love the quality of material. Gives perfect shade to my upstairs balcony. Has with stood heavy winds. Allows rain to come thru with out puddling on it an bulging. Shade: gives perfect shade keeping balcony cool in our hot desert climate.

The ties ripped right off this sunshade on day 1. Will have to sew and see if it holds.
