It's cheap, it did the job well! I used it on 14AWG uf-b wire. The project was to wire 17 wafer lights (Powerasia) around the soffit of my one story home. Using a utility knife or multitool wire stripper wasted time on the ladder and I required precision cutting length to be able to insert the exposed tips into the Wago connectors. It's important that you measure accordingly with connector nuts, to avoid arching and potential hazards. So i marked along the side of this wire stripper with a highlighter, after I determined the correct cutting length. I slid the red slider to that point and it stayed secure at the length the entire time of the project. I was up and down that ladder like a pro! I'm a 56 yr old DIYer woman! And my neighbors are amazed with the final project. Safety is paramount! The wire strippers did the job! Accurate, swift, and enjoyable! Can't wait till my next project where I may need it. Look if it breaks, seeing as hiw i don't do electrical projects on the regular, it breaks and ill buy it again. Maybe it's not the product for you if you use it daily. It is plastic, it's bound the fail, but for now as a DIYer, get it!

Great wire stripper. I like the adjustment capability. It makes it easy to strip the correct amount of casing from the wire. It is also easy to cut the wire without placing the wire between the handles. I have used it on several projects on my train table and it was very easy to use. The only draw back is that you cannot crimp with it, but that is okay!.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. This stripper simply doesn't work. It doesn't grab the wire while trying to strip it every time. Out of 10 attempts it grabbed once. And that was only with vinyl coated wire; with fabric covered wire, the kind often used on classic cars, it doesn't work at all. The tool is cheaply made of plastic and probably won't last very long. You get what you pay for and in this case you are paying for a POS.

Worked for about 3 months. These are mostly plastic and I didn't expect them to last, but I did hope for a year at least. They worked great out of the box, stripping wires up to 6 gauge with no problem. Then gradually after about 2 months use about 3hrs per week max) they started having problems with some of the harder wire sleeves. First it was struggling with the larger gauge, but now it all sizes that are anything other than the softest wires. The red plastic stopper worn and difficult to use after a few weeks too. Not the best, and certainly not good value for money.

Was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this tool. It's well built and looks like it will last. As several other posters have said it will not always strip very very small wires. Small wires like the diameter of mouse intestines. It will just cut them instead. But - I discovered two simple ways around this. One - if you need to strip two or more very small wires just do them at the same time. This seems to cause the blades not to bite so aggressively. It could probably do four at once. It does this just fine with a little practice. Two - If you just need to strip a single very small wire, just bite down on the wire tight enough with the blades to strip the wire and pull the wires away from the stripper no differently than if you were using the pliers style of wire strippers. With some practice it's fast and easy. For larger wires it works great all day long. It strips XT60 14 gauge wires with ease. I mainly wanted these to use with drones and small electronics. With the above caveat about small wires this thing is a winner.

For the price, this thing cannot be beat. Set the depth, and it gives the perfect strip every time. I've used it on 22 gauge all the way up to 12 gauge without any issues. I did have to spray some lithium grease into it after a while, but I attribute that to dropping it in a wet area. Your milage may vary if that wasn't the cause. The Lithium grease did fix it right up though, so keep that in mind if you have problems.
