These are very nice and they take the stuff out of the air. I put them in closets and then I put the other one in my coat closet and the other one I put in my clothes closet they last a little bit! They are a little more pricey, but it was still worth it!

I keep my dirty laundry in a tote in my clothes closet, as well as my shoes. It's hot and humid in summer in Chicago, and it was like a boy's locker room in there. I was also afraid my clean clothes were picking up the smell. I bought this thing, and it really handled it, and pretty quickly. I was unable to get the unscented, so there is a chemical smell, but it stays in my closet, and is not heavy, and it is better than the damp stank that was in there before. I bought the refills in unscented, so I hope those work as well as these. The container for the tablet is kind of big, like a football, but not too big for my deep-but-narrow closet, and it works very well for that size of a space.

This product absolutely absorbs excess moisture, it’s easy to use, and it’s a fair price for what it does. However, it does have a very distinct smell that’s hard to put a finger on. It smells kind of sweaty? Kind of musty? I’ll get wafts and it’s pretty gross.

My boyfriend rented his house out while he was living out of state and the renters ruined the bathroom! After moving back in we noticed there is a big water problem in one of the bathrooms. No leaking water but felt extremely damp. In the summer it stinks so bad, and if you happen to leave the door shut when you open the door after a while the mirror looks like someone had been taking a shower it’s so fogged up. Before we can get around to tearing it all apart and fix this issue I came across damp rid. Figured it couldn’t hurt!! It’s been in there 2 days and already a huge improvement! It does not feel nearly as damp!! I can’t speak on the smell yet. I got the “fresh” scent and not a fan of it.. but generally do not like those fresh scents anyway. I’d love if they came out with a lemon scented or something like that! But the bathroom does not stink quite as bad as it does in the summer though that could also be to cooling weather.. either way, we are happy with this thing! Does the job making it feel so much better and I love that it does not take electric or batteries and it’s fairly small so it does not take up much room!

If you have damp or smelly places in your house, this is a nice way to eliminate some of the problems. We have an unvented laundry room that steams up. I put one of these in there to help with the water. Wow, I have already had to change out the tablet after 3 weeks. Easy to pour the collected water out. Also put one in the master bath as there is no vent for the shower. That one is still going strong. If you have never tried damp-rid you should. Great product. This kit is great for countertops or other out the way areas - you really don't notice it b/c it's white/clear without garish labels. It just leaves a clean smell but I bet you won't notice it. Seems like the damper it is, the stronger the smell. Either way, this is a great fix for us - until I can pay for proper venting to be added.

It's either very hot or very rainy this summer. I have a window fan screen in my bedroom window & the past days it smells damp in there. I got damp rid because it works. I thought the plastic container would be durable to hold moisture. I put tablet in and lid didn't shut. It's been there 24 hours I see no difference. I finally last evening made lid shut almost all the way. Tiny gap. Will keep checking for moisture and says make rm smell good. Not giving off any pleasant/not smell at all. Damp smell isn't as strong because hasn't rained 2 days. Ground drying outside Will update later if better results. Edit: couple days it's starting to work as it should. Quality is cheap plastic won't stay together. Same item at Walmart $8 cheaper. Just glad it's taking dampness out. Will get bag next time. Don't reccomend this item but rid damp does work.

I live in central Florida, and WE KNOW MOISTURE! These work great. I've had mine in the bathrooms for 3 weeks now and looks like I might squeeze another week out. These are very simple to use; just follow the directions. No, there is not a fan; it is a vent (no need to distribute the moisture!). No, the flap does not snap in place, by design. Leave it alone. Yes, the tablet is gross if you touch it once it starts melting; don't touch it. Wait till it's all gone, then flush the water. No, it's not decorative; I stick mine behind the toilet. All that said, it's a pretty good product, and fairly cheap to operate. If my tabs last 30 days, then I'm spending about $11/mo on 3 of these. As you can see, it pulls a fair amount of moisture from the air; this was only 3 weeks' worth. My water is cloudy and not as "pretty" as the blue one in the promo video, lol. I'm very happy with this product and do highly recommend, esp if you live in humid weather. My only complaint is: where is the lavender vanilla scent for the tablets?!? I only see it in the powder :(

Excelente producto, lo puse en el baño para que absorba la húmedad que genera la regadera, y desde que lo instale las paredes del baño se secan mas rápido. El producto tiene un aroma de limpio, pero no es fuerte el aroma, así que no hay inconveniente en que aturda o enfade el aroma.

I was first disapointed because I thought it was a little fan. BUT it has definately worked to help remove moisture, yes it has a bit of an odd smell, i've read the reviews that it reminds some people of a urinal cake.... I got the lavender scented ones and I thought they smelt good ! They aren't over powering like some people have said they have been in all my closets with my clothes and they do not transmit the smell on. I also bought the damp rid buckets with the beads.... those do not work as well, I found way more humidity from these!

Es de gran ayuda en sitios húmedos, solo me duró 15 días. Lo único que no me agrada es que no dispone Amazon en venta las pastillas para reutilizar el recipiente y otorgar tx continuo preventivo a las áreas. No así para estar recomprandolo cada mes, llenarme de dispositivos de plastico. Claro que lo recomiendo, efectivo.. Pero ojala vendan las pastillas para continuar adquiriendo el producto.

Mine arrived with a crack in the bottom which was not discovered until it began collecting water and it leaked all through my cupboard. The bottom half should be made from the same plastic as the top half (but transparent). Pretty unhappy, a refund would be great.
