The Instructions are As Bad As People Say!
The frame is easy to assemble, but the included instructions for assembling the drum are as bad as people say. Here's what you need to know: the door panel should be placed at the arrows of the side pieces. The following panels overlap and you should start assembly from the top of the doors. When you get to the last panel, remove the bottom bolts from the door panel because the last panel needs to slide under the door panel. Be sure that the center wheel is seating in it's groove as you assemble each panel. Once assembled, it seems very sturdy and durable and I'm excited to turn my kitchen waste into good, organic planting soil. I have horses on the corner to add organic material to get the composting process started, but you can buy starter medium here on Amazon or your local feed store.

Happy with my purchase! Great value.
Ive been really happy with this composter, it doesn't produce compost as fast as maybe vermicomposting, but it still produces compost relatively quickly from garden waste and kitchen scraps and keeps larger pests like rats out. I would recommend that people buy a bungee cord to strap over the lids so that rodents aren't able to pull the lid back and fall into the compost. Despite what I saw in other reviews this was a fairly easy thing to assemble. The plastic material is tough and feels like it would hold a lot of weight. The metal base is sturdy enough, it shifts around a little bit but it doesn't cause it to feel like it isn't going to stay together. I would use a drill to put it together, there are a lot of screws and it will take you a while to put together if you use the included screwdriver. A couple of the screws were not machined properly meaning the part where you are supposed to screw it in had metal filling it in, but this wasn't the biggest deal because they included some extra screws and theyre fairly standard screws anyways. For the money its a good value, this is one of the cheapest 43 pound composters on amazon that I could find after a lot of searching. Spinning the composter is easy and honestly pretty fun. Make sure if you're going to be putting dairy or meat scraps in the composter, that you include a lot of brown material to balance the ratio out (cardboard or shredded paper or dead leaves), it will keep the compost from having a noticeable smell or attracting pests, shredded cardboard works the best for this. The composter looks good and hides the messiness of rotting kitchen scraps turning into plant food. Im happy with the purchase, and would consider buying a second one if I need more room to compost. I'm not sure if the thermometer works the best, i think the metal part that sticks inside of the tumbler should be longer because im not sure that it reaches far enough in to get a good reading on the internal temperature. Many times it has not shown a high internal temp but when I pull the lid back it is noticeably hot and humid inside and a large puff of warm air pushes outward. The inside will be steamy and the material is breaking down but the thermometer doesnt reflect that in the temp it shows. Just a minor gripe but doesnt really effect the actual quality of the composting.

Happy with product
It was easy to assemble even though instructions were vague. I messed up on putting the panels in & had to redo that part, but it wasn’t difficult to do. Tumbler is well made & sturdy. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Great Composter for Home Gardener
I found this composter easy to assemble (30-40 min). It is very sturdy . Dual chambers are very convenient. Large enough for home use but small enough to tuck out of view, an HOA requirement for my neighborhood. Only two minor complaints; it is a bit hard to turn when half full and the opening doors slip out occasionally when I add materials. Both issues are easy to work around.

Well??
Ok it was delivered on time. It did take some time to put it together and yes it is sturdy. However, because it is somewhat of a closed system it stinks really, really bad! On top of that it is not waterproof so basically what you get out is the equivalent of rotten cow like manure bricks. Now try to clean it out presents a whole other realm of problems. Because it spins I tried to put a bucket underneath to catch the compost. The barrel knocked the bucket over and some of the compost went on the rocks. Got a smaller bucket and tried to rinse the rest of the compost out, because the barrel is not round it makes jerky movements and the rest of the compost again ended up on the rocks. Would I buy this product again NO but since I did I will use it. I have resorted to the tub my husband uses when he changes the oil in cars. Of course I bought a new one but it's rectangular and the barrel can't knock it over and the surface area is bigger, fingers crossed the compost will not hit the rocks this time.

gets really dirty as you fill each side.
The fluids leak out of the gaps between panels, and so do maggots and whatever other bugs there are. It is expected, but when you want to go to rotate it, make sure you are wearing work gloves. Otherwise, the size is perfect, the assembly is SUPER easy, {Find someone with long arms to get those last few screws in} and find a good spot away from any doors or windows to set it up. Occasionally you get some smell, but rotation and adding more materials makes that minimal.

Easy assembly
This unit assembles easily and sits very stable. Easy to fill and has a smooth spin to it.

The unit arrived ahead of time. I just got into gardening this year and decided to start composting in order to add nutrients to the container garden and my lawn. The setup instructions were not the greatest but easy enough to figure out through trial and error. Did not take long to put together. Right now it is about halfway full of compost. Note, as the unit starts filling up it requires a bit more an effort to start tumbling. I am pleased with the purchase and happy with the value of the product.

Does the job. Sturdy. Port a bit small to scoop up contents comfortably, if you want only a bit. But option is to empty totally and save to another wider mouthed bin. The 2 bins good idea for continuous manufacture.

We used it all summer and find it very hard to turn once it gets filled up. We have a lot of vegetable scraps for two people and hope by summer next year we can dump it in garden. It’s super full and used a starter t get it going. Love that animals can’t get into it.

More durable than I had expected and so far the animals have been kept out. Little bit of a pain to put together but went smoothly after getting used to it.

Only been using it about 2 weeks but I like the size and convenience of having it on the back deck. However I may have to move it because of the flys being attracted to it.
