Quality Control Issues- good customer service
First up, I wasn't expecting a rubber screen protector. I had been expecting something like hard plastic. But I just shrugged and decided to install it anyway. First things first. There was a piece of dirt (just one) already stuck to the sticky side. Along with that, the screen wasn't (and continues to not be) completely clear. It has what looks to be like a random waterwark when viewed from an angle. Keep in mind, this was before I even installed it. I was hoping the effect would be less pronounced when on the phone, or perhaps the screen had to dry or cure or something. Now, installation was a snap, and the liquid dried fairly easily. The key to not damaging your phone is to A) don't spray directly on your phone B) don't over moisten the sticky side and C) keep an absorbent microfiber cloth handy while squishing out the excess.OK, back to the trouble. The single piece of dirt (which I wasn't able to remove during installation) now appears like a dead pixel whenever I turn on the phone. Also, the screen protector is so soft that anything will mark it, from your fingernail to the texture of a microfiber cloth. These marks clear up over time to some extent, and any older then a few minutes are only visible in the reflection. However, that was with minimal pressure. I haven't, and won't, test to see if I can make a mark permanent. Finally, the rubber feel of the screen protector adds a lot of drag to any gestures or slides. It is a huge difference if you had grown accustomed to glass or hard plastic protectors. All in all, I will be leaving this on my phone just long enough for a different screen protector to arrive. I might have been fine with the soft rubber feel or the waterwark, but the pre-existing speck of dirt was a deal breaker since it mimics a dead pixel when the phone turns on.Edit:Contacted by Erika (read comments on this review). And while this product wasn't to my taste, she did provide a sutible replacement product.

Comparable to 'zagg' products, but much cheaper
I previously worked at a retailer where I installed hundreds of screen protectors.. Our retail store sold the 'zagg' products, but customers brought in all types:First off, I DESPISE the 'dry' application screen shields..They may work in some situations (I have one on my Wii U Gamepad), but installation can be horrible, as you generally get 'one shot' to get it right and any dust is permanently trapped. The Skinomi shield is a 'wet' application, requiring you to use plenty of spray on your fingertips and the back of the product before installing onto the screen. The benefit, however, is that you can slide it around, position it, then squeegee out the moisture once your happy with the positioning.Skinomi (compared to other 'wet' products) works as I'd expect. The packaging looks great, the rubber squeegee doesn't 'skip' along the screen, and once it dried, I can hardly notice it is installed. I WILL say that during drying time (8 hours in my case) I noticed a 'rainbow' effect which I feared would last, but once it dried, it was crystal clear (so don't be alarmed). 24 hours later, and I'm quite pleased.Pros:Easy to install (if you're familar with 'wet' shield installations: if not, read the booklet)Dries crystal clearMuch more 'slick' feeling than other brands (no skipping / rubbery feel to your fingers)Cons:Still a slight 'orange peel' effect (which doesn't bother me too badly)Not as resistant to finger-prints / scratches as other brands (I have already put one small blemish on the protector testing it, which surprised me)Even once completely cured, if you look closely, you can see 'scan lines'(?) I suppose from the production process.. (Again, doesn't bother me, you'd have to look VERY closely)

Easy Installation
Installation of the Skinomi TechSkin was different from any screen protector I ever used. It uses a wet method of application, requiring your fingers and the protector to be sprayed with a solution. I actually prefer this method because you are able to easily make corrections to the alignment of the protector, which I sometimes have trouble doing normally. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has trouble getting their screen protectors aligned.Unfortunately, the first phone I installed the protector on had to be returned (issues not relating to the protector). This allowed me to gain more experience with the installation process. The first installation went better, there were nearly no micro-bubbles after the excess water was squeegeed out. The second time I had micro-bubbles all over the screen, and even some fairly size-able bubbles. I don't know what I did differently between the two installations to cause the two results. After a few hours, all the micro-bubbles vanish, and overnight even the larger bubbles disappear. Using the included squeegee to try and work out the bubbles caused a few indentations on my protector and did nothing to the bubbles. So if you have micro-bubbles immediately following installation, just wait and don't worry about having to fix them right away. The skin protector itself feels substantial. When compared to the phone's glass, the surface of the protector adds a little more friction when the finger are slid across it, though not enough to be a major negative. Any color cast caused to the protector is not noticeable to me.I still need more time with the protector to decide how well it holds up to everyday use, but so far it has been preforming well.

it's ok
there is nothing wrong with this product, the pretencious packaging is hilariously over the top but hey it made me laugh. I put a Zagg on my last phone and I will put one on my next one because I personally think it's a more robust protector and covers the whole phone rather than just 90% of the screen.

Great preserver
Have used Skinomi covers for my last two phones and they work a treat. I had one on my old phone screen for 2 and a half years and when removed after all that time, the screen was in perfect condition. These things definitely work.Easy to apply and straightforward instructions. There is even official YouTube support videos showing installation. All in all a great product. Some people are put off by the price. For me, it's worth it.
