31189 Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Set, Multi-Angle Plug, HEI Cap

It's hard to beat MSD products. They work on the track and on the street.

I've tried a bunch of plug wires over the years but keep coming back to the MSD 8.5mm. The boots are a high grade of silicon that does not dry out or burn even close to headers. The terminals are double-crimped (one crimp over the insulation to hold it firmly, a second crimp for the conductor). I've not seen double crimps on other brands, they fold the conductor back over the insulation and crimp the whole thing with a single crimp. I also like that the distributor terminal has a very positive "click" when installed. It really holds it firmly, much more so than other brands.

They require work, obviously, and while the assembly is time-consuming, it's nice to have a custom product when you're done. And that's not mentioning the quality of this plug wire set - really, really nice. 8.5mm are really the best you can get and better than most applications need, but they really pair well with upgraded ignition systems or high voltage set-ups. Oh, and PS, they include nifty little wire numbers to loop around each wire - string those on before you crimp the distributor end of each one! ;-)

I have used these wires for close to 20 years now and they always work great. My only complaint is that this is my first set that didn't come with stickers.

I love MSD products and this one here has solved my needs perfectly. I am readying a 400 SBC for my 69 C-20 and everything has went with out a hitch. Cutting and measuring was a snap with the engine out on the stand. The quality of these wires is second to none and the instructions are precise and easy to understand for any handy person looking to upgrade their ignition for top performance. Easy to cut, crimp and boot giving you a custom fit. Have enough left over for my sleds and motorcycles too! I did not use a table vise, i used a battery/slip lock pliers and worked great plus much faster.

A bit of a job to crimp end on properly, and definitely have to use the included mini crimper. Only issue I had was inconsistent OHM readings on the completed wires. Had to redo one and still was WAY out of spec of 50 ohms per foot
