John Deere The First Years Massaging Corn Teether

This is a must for every baby. My younger brothers all had one, my children each had one and now we've given my nephew one as well for Christmas. He loves it. Was mesmerized by it, you could tell it just made his gums feel so much better! As a past user I always found that the silicone end never ripped no matter how much a baby chews, the battery lasts forever I swear. Very easy to hold for babies and very lightweight as well. Super easy to clean quick in the sink while washing dishes. John Deere not only knows how to build farm equipment but baby teethers as well. They knew what they were doing with this product for sure!

My son wasn't sure about using this at first, the vibrating function surprised him. He kept using it in small quantities after that and got used to it and now I think he understands that the vibration is helpful and doesn't surprise him when it happens. Great quality and price. Plus it's cute to see him walk around with his corn lol! Great purchase.

This teething massager is amazing. Our 1 year old loves it. We bought it to help him stop head banging and use it as a different outlet when he is seeking sensory input. It has worked really well and is very durable. The vibration isn't to strong or to weak. It does have a small noise when he bites down and it vibrates, but it isn't overly loud and obnoxious. I highly recommend for any toddlers looking for a little extra sensory input.

I'm going to warn you up front, I'm not using this item for a teething toddler, but rather as a soothing item for our 5 year old son, who has some specialized needs.He has some pretty substantial sensory challenges that comes with a fair bit of chewing on things to try and calm himself. He had a dental procedure a few months ago that seems to have exacerbated a few issues, and he's started trying to bite people maybe once or twice a week in addition to that to try and calm himself down. Once or twice a week is once or twice too many, so we've been upping the number of vibrating items that are on the "good to chew" list, because that input helps calm him and alleviate the need to try and bite, which has been effective and decreasing the frequency. So for me, one of the strategies I use is to give him an acceptable item to chew that is of the same texture as the item he wants to chew. One of the things that is super appealing about this is that it has firm parts (the husks) and softer parts (the corn), and there are nubby textures on the handle, so I can hand this to him oriented with whatever texture I need to be replacing. Because this does it all, this is one of my preferred chewers to take with him to a therapy appointment, etc. He doesn't have any problem getting it to vibrate when he bites down on it, and while there are a few marks that have shown up from his teeth in the three weeks we've had this one, it's holding up really well to his chewing on it with a full set of chompers. Yes, when we're out in public this is the sort of thing that can cause people to stare. But let's be honest, if you have an older kid that this might help from the sensory standpoint, you're probably like our little family and are going to get stared at no matter what you do. I think this is a great multi-functional item to reduce his chewing or biting on inappropriate items, and I love the fact that it vibrates, because that does a world of good for calming him down when he's agitated.

Great teething toy so far! My 8 month old is still trying to figure out the concept of needing to bite it hard enough to make it vibrate. Give it 4 stars because you have to bite down in one specific spot to make it vibrate. But he loves just sucking on it in general and holding it.

Good for a teether. it's unfortunate than we can't change the batteries but other than that my baby loves the vibration, it smooths her.

My baby enjoys this he does prefer to chew on all sides but when his mouth is sore he does go for the vibration all in all I would say good product. I was looking in store for one but couldn’t find one. Great find
