I just received mine today, so I can't pass judgement on longevity, but I took the main arm out of the box, and obviously didn't read the Amazon advert properly, as I did not realise it also came with an air vent holder, any air vent holder I have tried in the past, couldn't hold itself never mind a phone, but I thought I would try this first, before taking any stickers of the suction pad etc, and I am so glad I did, the air vent holder alone is superb, it is a perfect spot in my car for the phone, but by God it holds it solid, but the wait of the arm just screams quality, my phone is quite large and the case on top of that, makes it huge, the phone is an Oppo Find X5 Pro, and it holds it perfectly, I honestly couldn't be happier, glad I spent the money on something decent for a change, I will keep the arm in the box, in case I want to change to a different spot on the dash, but for now, where the phone is and how it sits, is just perfect, just something to add after talking to the seller, I have small round side vents, and I have no problem with grip there either, I haven't used any of the sticky pads yet, but common sense would tell you to clean them before you try sticking anything to them, as they need a clean surface to properly grip, so if your holder falls off, and your pad is dirty, don't expect it to hold your phone.

I've used multiple other mobile phone holders down the years. Most of these have been cheap, but don't end up lasting very long. Though this is a bit more expensive, the higher price is definitely worth it, the quality is superb: very sturdy, strong, easy to fit and reliable... The best I've ever had, by a long way...

I brought this as I didn't have the proper vents to use a vent mount. Unfortunately, I didn't have a flat dashboard so the plastic plate with the adhesive didn't stick properly and automatically fell off. (Definitely not for slightly sloped dashboards) Instead I used it with the adhesive on the mount itself which is very sturdy and sticky. But I suppose time will tell when I'm driving on bumpy roads!

I've been trying so hard to get one of these car holder to work just as I want it because I've previously used the ones that stick on the windshield. Those always lose their stickyness and leave marks after a while. The excellent quality of the phone holder can tightly held the phone even with the phone case on. I first tried it mount on my shelf. It is extendable fully extended will not prone to fall off with large phone(I'm using iphone xs max with 6mm phone case). Attached isconfigured under any angle and will not leave any stubborn marks . Absolutely FIVE Stars for: 1, Strong hold and not stickly sunction cup. 2, Easy to be installed and come with the vent clip. 3, Can be mounted in anywhere you want at any angle. Delighted with this purchase as I'm sure it will last a long time and is very versatile! Great product and great value for money. Highly Recommended!

Best heavy duty phone holder I've ever bought. Boy, once you stick this to your dash, it ain't going ANYWHERE! It also somehow doesn't lose it's stickiness?? I have no idea what witchcraft they employed, but hey. It works! Super adjustable too, and comes with more than enough customisation accessories, so you'll be able to perfectly fit it for your car and phone.

Overall, it’s a nice car phone holder, and at the price it’s a good value. It seems simple and intuitive to place the phone in the mount and release it, and the ergonomics are such that I don’t feel like I might drop my phone. And once the phone is mounted it feels really secure, I don’t feel like there’s a chance it’ll pop out if I hit a pothole etc. Fit and finish is very nice for the price, the front face has a carbon fiber look to it, and the plastic feels smooth. The mechanism that grips and releases the phone feels nice, it has detents you can feel/hear as your tightening the clamp. Given that it offers a lot of flexibility, feels sturdy, and is easy to use, it’s a good buy.

The connecting arm and phone holder are very well made as is the mount and its adhesion to the dash. The problem is with the connection of the arm sections to the mount. Whilst it is secure in that it will not come off, there is far too much play between the arms and the secured mount, which lets the whole product down badly. I sent the first one back thinking it was faulty but the replacement was the same. I persevered for a month or so but decided it is not good enough and so removed the mount from the dash. I have now purchased the suction model and fixed it to the windscreen and this is a more stable solution. I am very disappointed in the newer and more expensive option.

I really like this phone holder. It's very sturdy and very easy to put the phone in and take it out. You just squeeze the sides together and there's a little button to press that instantly releases it. It did fit snugly on to my air vent but I didn't like that I couldn't then adjust the vent, so I attached it to the windscreen where it has stayed. It's very adjustable, you can swivel the phone round from portrait to landscape very easily and adjust the height and length of the arm to suit. Very happy with this.

Purchased in Jul 2022. Adhesive pad did NOT stick well onto the textured plastic dashboard, and was thrown in a garbage after 5 min. Suction cup works very well, even without a pad, even on a textured surface: in the 1.5 years of use, it fell of 2 or 3 times when the car was parked for the whole day in a hot weather. Otherwise, it's very grippy and feels super secure. Hinges are sturdy. I do not recall adjusting or retightening anything, not even once in 1.5 years. I have an average "noname" Android phone, 155 mm long x 75 mm wide (6.5 inch diagonal), not super heavy (compared to today's "monsters"). The only minor inconvenience I have with mounting it into the holder is that I have to squeeze the clamps rather hard to get that last "ratcheting click" to ensure the clamps "hug" the phone tight. Before you buy it make sure the buttons on the sides of your phone are positioned rather high, because if the "power button" on my phone was a few mm lower it would end up under the clamp... Overall, it's a very good product. I've been using it mostly on the city roads with occasional light off-roading. Zero regrets.

Most vent clip mounts I used were flimsy and never felt secure, so I switched to an adhesive windshield mount. Worked very well and was super sturdy and secure. But after a couple southern summers, the adhesive began to melt and it started to slide down the windshield. It was a pain to remove and clean residual adhesive. Thought I would try the vent clip on this one and it is working nicely so far. Very secure and sturdy. My phone hasn't dropped once, even when driving through potholes ans speed bumps.

I've had a hard time finding a decent phone holder the KIA Telluride. I reecently purchased this for my Telluride, primarily because I didn't like the one I had that was in the cup holder. It took my eyes off the road. I wanted the phone more at eye level. Also the cup one caused arguments on who would get the other cup holder for what ever they were drinking. Finding the right phone mount for a KIA Telluride wasn't easy. This one came with a decent clip for attaching to the air vent and a 3M disk for a dashboard mount option, plus it had a suction cup. Something had to work. Thank goodness, the suction cup works well on the windshield. I discovered that vent clips wont work in a Telluride, and the dash isn't flat enough to take the 3M disk unless it's over the area the attaches the display screen to the dash...which could be a problem if anything ever happened to the display screen. Thankfully the suction cup is good and seems to hold very well to the windshield. I mounted it on the lower left side corner of the windshield and this is working well for me. It's at eye level and doesn't block my view of the road. So if you have a KIA Telluride, don't bother with the 3-1 version of this phone holder, or any other mount type for that matter. You will only be able use the suction cup to windshield mount or a cup holder mount or there is one that uses a clamp on the council but again, the same issue with diverting the eyes off the road and it's in the way of the cup holders. This one holds well and I'm happy with the result. My phone is precisely where I want it. As far as the hold on the glass... The better test will be when I leave the frozen north for the Gulf Coast in a few days, to see how the suction handles the freezing to hot temperature changes. So far it's solid and hasn't budged even down the below -15C
