Waxed Canvas Backpack

Finally took this on a business trip, wanted a bag that would hold my laptop, phone, charger, pens and still have additional space for last minute items, snacks, little souvenirs, a sweatshirt, etc. It can hold quite a lot. It's very nicely made with good materials and stitching, tough, and the magnetic closures were very convenient. Also unique and rugged looking, after people-watching at multiple airports I didn't see anyone with a carry-on anything like it. This bag looked more like I had returned from 6 months with Indiana Jones than just coming back from Dallas, and I mean that in a good way. I like the old school canvas-and- distressed leather adventurer look better than the various generic looking Cordura, nylon, and military-looking backpacks or laptop cases that have little room for much else. Great capacity, comfortable, and easily fits under a seat. Highly recommend.

Great amount of space inside, the style is to my liking, the additional pockets are also pretty well sized, quality feels better than most standard shop back packs. Its my main travel pack now.

I've been trying to find a Vintage waxed canvas rucksack for...awhile (not revealing my age). No Joy. Most offerings are poor quality or some synthetic. But, here, ... I SCORED! Quality materials (REAL Leather and actual waxed canvas) and workmanship are evident from the moment you load it up and throw it on. I ordered the XL, and put in close to 50lbs, then hiked around the area to test it. The magnetic clasps worked fine, never once popped loose during fairly rough handling, but, being 'Old School', I fixated them with Super glue. That's just a personal preference. I ordered this after reading all of the reviews on it, and compared it to similar rucks at higher prices. Nowhere did I find anything that used real leather or actual waxed canvas. So, I ordered it and have ZERO regret, complaint, or problem. If you are looking for that classic Vintage look for your next adventure, even if it's just walking across campus to class, look no further. This is IT!

Its better as a backpack. Then a day to day bag. Don't get me wrong its nice. The clasps could be better. I wouldn't take it on a serious hike. Its just to big for my use. Which isnt the products fault. Its mine for not looking deeper before I purchased it. For a youngster going to class it is probably fantastic. Lots of room especially in the center compartment. But for a bag to caring my junk to and from work its like needing a bee bee gun and getting a bazooka. And i wouldn't keep anything in the outer compartments that was valuable if your a public commuter. Someone could definitely rip you off and you not notice especially if you are using headphones or ear buds.

Got this for my son. It’s actually beautifully made and very sturdy. He absolutely loves it!

Nothing bad to report here. Genuine leather top flap- Strong magnets and adjustable buckles. Very roomy main compartment with a cushion partition to put the laptop. Like most all of these packs, you may want to place some padding under the laptop for protection. There seems to be some degree of cushioning around the back not only protecting your computer but your back. This pack is comfortable to wear, the straps are easily adjustable, padded and wide, so you can carry some weight without it cutting into your neck. Lots of side and interior compartments for small items, including a flat compartment, zippered, in back that's somewhat hidden. All in all, this is the best pack I've had so far, and that is going back quite a few. It's got personality, very nice. By the By, it seems to have some kind of coating for water or damp protection. Water beads on it unless you press the drops in. It is not oily.

Backpack more then met my expectations! I got the extra large for my daughter for school and even with all the supplies there was plenty of room left over! A terrific buy!

Heavy duty and water resistant. Huge, yet still fits under an airline seat when not stuffed. When fully packed to capacity it will fit in an overhead bin. The recipient liked all of the pockets. After a year of use, the shoulder straps have not failed. The leather top flap was thick enough to handle engraving.
