great tool at a great price. works so well on domed rivets. great for builders just starting out. after you drill out a few thousand rivets, maybe you don't need this. But until then, this tool is great. helps to not ruin your part you are working on.

Tool is easy to use and works great on aluminum rivets. I happen to hit a rivet with steel center sticking up a bit and the bit could not do anything with it. Ended up grinding the steel one and drilling out by hand. The bit struggled to work after that, and I ended up just tossing the tool on the bench and drilled them out as usual. I'll order a new bit <1/8"> for next time and just be careful never to use it where it can hit steel and cross my fingers.

Brilliant. I bought it to take apart an old toolbox for restoration. After attempting to drill the rivets out with no success, I ordered this tool, and gave it another go. In 10 minutes I had all 16 rivets out. It worked flawlessly and I would highly recommend it if you have a job you need to try out. One caveat: No instructions were included but there is a great YouTube video on how to use a similar one including how to set up the bit. I'd recommend watching it before using. Overall, if you have a project that requires rivet removal I would get this.

Overall this is an ok product, but the drill bits are not the best quality.

I admit to being skeptical when purchasing but it works well. I didn't have a large number of rivets to remove, about 30 or so, but a slip of the hand would have been catastrophic. Performing the drilling freehand works but I had to be very careful, and even with taking care the bit can wander. The tool end has some concavity so that it nestles into the head of the rivet, and the drilling depth is adjustable. An hour long job freehand took about 10 minutes with the tool, but more importantly no slips and so no damage.

The bit broke after about 10 rivets, it is not made of very strong metal

You would think foe $80+ it would come in a case instead of 2 flimsy plastic bags.

We are doing a complete renovation on a 60 year old camper. I wanted a tool to enable me to drill all the rivets without worrying about a slipped bit scratching the aluminum skin. This tool fit the bill exactly! It’s heavy for its size, very robust and smooth operating. I highly recommend it!
