Good quality
Ancient tool that still works as it did in ancient times. This one is not super heavy but is just right for most uses. Heavy enough to pinpoint the correct point in the ground.

Safe on eyes
I bought this Swanson Tool Co. PB008B plumb bob to install recessed lighting. I’ve been using a laser level, but there have been a few close calls climbing down the ladder and almost looking at the beam. This is reliable and the 8oz seems to be a good weight. It’s heavy enough to hang straight from the ceiling. After a couple of taps, it settles almost immediately. The preinstalled string is a bonus but tangles easily. If you need a solid vertical reference this is a great buy.

Excellent plumb bob
This item is exactly what I was looking for. It has good weight and only about 1-1/8" diameter. The string is as good as I've purchased myself for string lines. The replaceable tip is a great feature. The only reason I took one star off is due to the threads on the tip which is really loose. I wouldn't over tighten it because it might strip the threads. I'm going to try some Teflon tape on it and see if it snugs up a bit.

The best on the market.
The best bob you can buy. It’s heavy, so you can’t kick it over easily. If buying, change the string when you get it, it’s cheap and snaps from the bobs weight

Very good if you like a larger plumb Bob. I much prefer the brass to other cheaper ones out there. We use this a lot on job sites, strung it up with orange so it's easier to see. Plumb bobs still have lots of uses. Overall quality is good and I'd buy again
