I just started my French classes! The book arrived on a perfect state.

I initially purchased this item because it had a DVD and audio which was necessary for the course I was taking in French. This was a used item and it was in gently used condition as far as the book and the answer key was in excellent condition. However, inside you can see that the DVD portion and audio are torn out and it did not come with that. This was kind of disappointing because that is the main reason this particular item. I will say that the seller displays good communication skills. They were speedy and prompt when I let them know that there was a portion missing. They came to a compromise and gave me a 30% discount. They credited my card almost immediately. Well I didn’t get my money back completely, nor did I get all of that products that I needed and will likely have to pay full price for the brand new item. I’m still giving them five stars because they have good communication skills and we came to a compromise. The book was in decent condition.

I had my first French class today and am no longer intimidated by this book! I am really looking forward to learning more. It comes with a CD which I can use on an old laptop but would love a link to download on a newer system which has no CD drive.

Muy buen material

Excellent book. One of the best I have seen. Actually written for the student and not to impress other teachers. Overly enthused chapter about couchsurfing Piste 99 Bravo les juenes is disgusting otherwise great pistes. The idea of an episode on a coffee klaltch in Turkey and even a little blurb about Minneapolis is silly to me. I prefer a section on Montreal to a section on New Orleans (which has a horrendous map by the way). There are 4 books actually? a main book a cahier book and two livrets with answers? There should be an email address asking for suggestions listed in the textbook....

I think that in general it is a very good book but they do not start with the basics because the introduction to the French language is very simplified. In All these series of books ( your activities and exercises ) have no solution so you don't know if you are doing it right, they make you buy another separate book with the answer(no like the activity books). My advice to improve this book is to put the pronunciation of the words next to the vocabulary brochure with the meanings of the word in the different languages ​​(you can find the pronunciation of the words in the brochure of the activity book at the end but this entangled and words are repeated by Dossier), another point that I do not like the explanation of the grammar (very empty) and poorly examples. My recommendation for those who want to start learning the French language with this book is: 1. try to learn the vocabulary and their meaning so that you have an idea when starting the activities and understand what it says. 2. Learn the rules of grammar (the ones on the back of the book) before starting so that you have a base before starting the activities and if you need to look for videos on youtube, that helps.

I am an American student learning French. This textbook is in French-all the directions, explanations, exercises, everything is in French. Completely absurd annd frustrating. I don’t understand anything in the text book and have to spend valuable study time translating directions, explanations, etc. I’ve since taken a French course with a textbook written in English. Learning French is now a pleasant experience. Run away from any class using this textbook.

I was excited to have the book but mostly to use the digital application that accompanied it. When registering with my book code it keeps telling me that the code is not valid. Désolée!
