Great bang for the buck
I have been using this mouse for two weeks now and I must admit, it is a bargain. Build Quality The buttons click well and the mouse scrolls well. The real test is durability and I will have to update this in about six months to write a fair assessment. The mouse has a matte finish on the left and right buttons and where the rear portion of your palm rests. The finish is smoother where the text “FOR THE GAME” appears. Have I encountered any “slipping” issues yet? No, but please keep in mind this is an early review. The braided cord is (surprisingly) of excellent quality. Lighting The colors rotate between red, green, blue, purple and yellow respectively and continuously. I personally do not find the constantly rotating colors a nuisance, but some might so please keep that in mind. Scroll Wheel/DPI Button The scroll wheel is rubberized with grooves and feels fine, no problems scrolling. The DPI button is located just below the scroll wheel, and I love that I can select the DPI without the necessity of software. The DPI button placement does not interfere with use (my opinion). I have listed below the DPI-to-color relationship. 1000 DPI - Red 1600 DPI - Green 2400 DPI - Blue 3200 DPI - Purple 5500 DPI – Yellow Comfort Now keep in mind this is the first mouse that I have owned with a thumb, ring-finger and pinky rest and I must say that I find it extremely comfortable. I have been diagnosed with slight Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the ergonomics are terrific. But the comfort is due to a combination of the ergonomics AND finding the correct DPI which result in less wrist movement. I love the fact that the DPI can be selected via a button just below the scroll wheel. Which DPI is best? That is a preference that only the user can determine. Summary Overall I am very pleased with the cost-to-performance-and-feel of this mouse. I play some games but use the mouse for general purpose and again, it is very, very comfortable. I have not attempted to program the buttons, I’ll probably try that later. I have set a Task in my Outlook six months from now to write an update, I’ll let you know how well it holds up. Update 11/9/2015 Here's the promised update: * The mouse is still working, hardly any wear and tear but then again I am not a heavy duty gamer, everyday computer use, some World of Warships, World of Tanks and StarCraft 2 every now and then. * The mouse still feels very comfortable for my hands. * My only (minor) complaint is that the mouse does not include programmable software. I found a third party software called X-Mouse Button Control, which is fine if you want the pre-programmed button options. So far I have not found a way to program the buttons to my desire, but it's better than nothing.

The most bang for your buck.
I have yet to use this mouse for more than five minutes but I couldn't wait to review it. The only way the mouse can let me down at this point is if it blows up and takes my right hand. Context: I'm not a gamer (this is advertised as a gaming mouse) and my previous mice were mini optical mice. Coming from a tiny thing and switching to a gaming mouse, this feels like pure luxury. I have small hands for a guy and so my hand grips the mouse perfectly, it's like a tempurpedic fit for my hand. Every wedge has a purpose and is aesthetically pleasing. I'm apparently one of the few who appreciate the rotation of the color changes. If there were settings that would be a plus (to keep it to one color) but in all honesty I would probably keep it with the colors changing most of the time. I'm only used to two buttons, the left click and the right click, so the extra buttons are an extra treat for me. The scroll has a nice grip. The cord is made of a material of that of a constriction boot shoe lace so it would be hard to get tangled. I can't believe this mouse is for this price. It's a mouse. It's beautiful and it works. As long as it keeps working for more than a month it's worth the price. I would probably pay for a subscription to this mouse if I had to keep rebuying it every month. I just hope it wasn't built by children or slave labor. This is a deal! *Feb 2015 Update* It is a sad day today. The laser at the bottom stopped working so I must use the touch pad (eww). The buttons and scroll still work. I'll see if this can be fixed. **2nd Update** My mistake. My computer just needed a restart for some reason. All is well with the mouse.

Semi In-Depth Review, Including Pictures
Alright so I figured I would do a sort of in-depth review of this mouse. Right off the bat I'll just give it a rating out of 10 if that's all you're looking for to save your time- 7.2/10 The only reason I'm writing this review is because this mouse is no longer 100% functional so I'm looking for a new mouse to buy and I came across this one again. So, let's get into the review. The mouse, for what it's worth, is amazing to say the least. I believe when I bought it (January of 2016) it cost me about 9$ (as of writing this review 11/30/16 it is still priced at 9$). It has three extra buttons on it that the typical computer mouse does not (in addition to the DPI selector), and that was slightly handy for me because it allowed for extra keybinds for games I play (mainly WoW). The mouse itself is entirely plastic and has a decent overall weight to it, making it easy for most every gamer to use- it isn't too light but isn't too heavy. It also flashes a variety of set colors, or can be set on just one color. The DPI (CPI) of the mouse has a few different selections ranging up to 5500, but I typically stayed on the second lowest interval. The mouse is also very comfortable I found. It was the first mouse I have owned that has a thumb rest on the side and I will never not buy a mouse with a thumb rest now. Something to keep in mind with this mouse is that it has a lot of seams on it where plastic meets more plastic, and a lot of grooves where the lights are. This made it collect grime easily and I found myself cleaning it pretty often. The fabric cord for the mouse never frayed and remained in good shape. But let's get into why the mouse is no longer 100% functional for me. The farthest back button on the left side of the mouse ended up breaking off inside, and got pressed inside of the mouse and is now just clanging around inside the mouse. In addition to that button being broken off, the right click button seems to have been slightly loosened from clicking it so much. This makes it so when I hold the right click down, the mouse thinks I take my finger off and will register that I do not have the right click button pressed. I will then have to re-click the right mouse button for it to work again. The best way I can explain this is that if I am healing as Mercy in Overwatch (she's my main so this ended up being quite a problem for me), it would remove my stream from the player I was connected to and I would have to reconnect to them. I know this example will only help people who have played Overwatch, but I'm just trying to make more clear the problem I encountered. I used the mouse heavily, ranging from minimum 6 hours a day to maximum upwards of over 24 hours at a time. So the right click button being loosened can easily attribute to this extreme use. To be honest I was not expecting this mouse to last me the 11 months it did, as it only cost 9$. I would almost look at this mouse as a "disposable" mouse. It functions great for what it's worth, but if you're looking long term I would invest a little more money. If you're just getting into gaming, or know someone who is, and they need an introduction to a little bit more feature-intensive mice, this is a good start. Will I buy this mouse again? Probably never, seeing that I just bought a much more advanced and sturdy mouse- but that doesn't mean I think the Zelotes mouse was a waste of money. I thoroughly enjoyed using it and I would say it was a good mouse, not a great one, but a good one. The mouse is not made super well, as you can only assume from the 9$ price point- it's entirely plastic and the paint on the side buttons was wearing off. So I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. It functioned well for what it was worth, but just couldn't stand the test of time for me. If you game far less than me, this could be a very useful mouse for you. I do recommend it, but would advise actually investing money in a better mouse if you want it to last more than a year. I have included a few photos detailed the extent of the damage to the mouse where the missing button is, and where the wearing of paint is visible. Hope I helped.

Okay so I'll be honest, this is not a top of the line product. But I had one of these for like 5 years and it never gave me any trouble until a couple weeks ago, the right click stopped working after taking a lot of abuse. This is the best mouse I've ever used FOR THIS PRICE. I want to emphasize that It doesn't compare to a high end expensive mouse, but it's certainly worth every penny.
