Though bulky, its design prioritizes wrist health and comes with dedicated customer support to address any manufacturing issues.

Lifesaver design, possible manufacturing glitches, great support provides fast replacement
This product is a lifesaver and is well designed. The sideview mirrors are helpful and I love the backspace on the left side spacebar, it makes it easy to correct as you get used to the different hand positions. Even a good typist will need a week or so to adapt. But the benefit is priceless, my wrist doesn't hurt anymore! Now the design is great as I said, but there may be manufacturing problems. As users have mentioned, there may be a high failure rate of keys not working intermittently and key action becoming sticky or poor. I had a pattern of keys not work out of the box, and I contacted the Amazon seller who contacted the tech support for me. They said they can replace but try again. I found a function key that seemed stuck and now it worked, so I said great, thanks. A few weeks later, same problem returns, and no stuck key to explain it. So I contacted the tech support directly with my previous amazon email chain, and Safetype was great in saying sorry and shipping a replacement that seems perfect. Hopefully it stays this way, I hope it's a new batch that was made better, we'll see. In short, don't be scared to try it, and don't hesitate to contact the company if a problem. They have a great product, which of course would be nice if it was cheaper but I assume this is a smaller economy of scale. Let's support this company and push them to keep improving until they are the best that they deserve to be and which your body needs. I'd love to see this style become the norm, even covered by employers and insurance. We're coming out of the stoneage here.

Interesting concept but meh execution
This thing is ENORMOUS. I'm a PhD student so I expected it to either be smaller or at least fold. Nope. Enormous and a giant unfoldable block. Also, I type 90+ wpm on a normal keyboard and even after weeks with this one I'm nowhere close to that. The learning curve is STEEP. Good concept, but weird and bulky execution.

A Great Invention
This is my fourth SafeType Keyboard. I bought it for my daughter since she is having pain in her hands like I did. The pain disappeared within a week. It is a great invention!

Don't waste your money: Not comfortable, keys stick, one not working
Keys stick, your arms get tired because there's no support for your hands/wrists when you pause - you have to hold them up to the keyboard without a place to rest them on. And since the span of the unit is small, neutral elbow and shoulder position isn't fostered - it's like I'm squeezing a cantaloupe sized item out in front of me while typing. My back, neck, arms and wrists are sore and tense when I'm done typing. The 4 key on the center pad is not functional I want to love this - I type all day and am an artist so I'm trying to conserve my hands. I wish now that I'd bought the split keyboard style so at least I could have the span I need for my shoulders to not be tense. Sad

If you can't type then your wrists must feel great
The product came with a CD. Inserting the CD and installing seemed like a reasonable first step. At the conclusion of the installation I was prompted to reboot. After restarting, none of the keys on the safetype keyboard work except hibernate and power. None of the keys on my laptop except the power button and volume control work either. I went to the website looking for support. There it says that the CD is only for XP and earlier OS. It would have been really helpful if that were written on the CD, or if their installation Wizard were smart enough to perform an OS check. Now I get to spend my day looking for my restore disk and trying to get my laptop back to work. Like I said above, they seem to be trying to rescue my wrists by preventing me from typing at all.

Saved my career!
It's true that sometimes the keys stick at first, but they loosen up with use. And it's also true that it's quite bulky (but lightweight), but truly, this thing has made it possible for me to continue my work. Eventually, you don't even need to bother with the mirrors, because your fingers learn where the keys are. So I removed the mirrors, which makes it a bit less clunky.

Virtually Eliminates Typing Pain
I would give this seller 5 stars, but the keyboard did not work correctly and I did not end up keeping the product. However, their customer service department handled my issue so professionally that I would definitely give the CS department a 5 star rating. This keyboard looks like it came off of a spaceship, and one definitely feels like they are piloting one when they use it. My concern with this European product is that there is little to no online tech support for misbehaving products. With that being said, please take into consideration that I did not attempt to contact the seller for tech support and that they most likely would have been able to resolve the issues. I do not feel that the product is quite worth the prescribed value, maybe about half and they would see a significant increase in sales.

Good quality, does exactly as advertised, vertical typing. Helped me
I get pain from typing, this took it out basically 100%. It really depends on what your issue is, mine is pronating (rotating the hands to put on a flat keyboard), I get a nerve impingement on the inside of my elbow. With this keyboard, the hands stay neutral, and this rotation does not happen. This keyboard solved my issue perfectly.
