Hisense HS-U688 - Factory Unlocked Phone - Frustration-Free Packaging (White)

We bought this Hisense phone because it was unlocked, slightly less expensive than other brands but mostly because of several good reviews, but are we really so unlucky to be getting a defective unit or this is another here today gone in a few more years brand ? We read a lot of bad reviews for other Hisense products, but thought this phone had several good reviews, so how unlucky can we be with this Hisense product ?

I love this phone. It replace my old iPhone 4 that I got ages ago. I got a good deal.

Had my phone about ten days now. Guess it really isn't a phone it is the size of a large hand held calculator. It is very fast with no lag time. I have tried the camera and video and I am happy with both. Have not tried the selfie camera. I did not rate it a five because I have little to compare it with. My old smart phone is just that,old. Running a early version of android and very slow. An I use a Ipod 4G which is Iphone 4 with out the phone. So far no complaints. I got just over 3 days on first charge but I am not a really heavy phone user. Probably used more in the last week learning the phone then everyday use. I popped a consumer cellular chip in and works fine. Main purpose of phone is for an up coming motorcycle trip through Vietnam. If it survives two months on that trip I will come back with a five star rating.lol Over all good buy

Phone is great to use but I had several non start problems necessitating return. And I solved finding case by ordering a Blu 6.0 slip case into which U688 fit perfectly.

Seemed great for the price initially, but eventually started to be hyperstimulated by touch. In other words, when I would just try to scroll on a page, it would end up selecting random stuff on the screen (never had this problem with any of my Galaxys; it's so frustrating!!). Thought I'd try it out since it seemed similar to Galaxy for less than half the price, but wasn't worth the hassle of getting a refund. Very disappointed.

Purchased this phone last month. Works well. Android programming is simple. No frills. Phone unlocked and works on GSM networks. I recommend this phone due to its price and easy setup. Battery life is good for email, messaging and talk. Do not think it will last long with a lot of streaming. Only issue as I have not been able to find a phone cover/case with US Retailers.

Bought this phone as a temporary replacement until the iPhone 7 came out. I liked its large screen. Everything seemed to work well - except the micro SD slot, which I found out too late was broken. The phone storage is only 8 GB, so the SD is needed.
