I carry my 15" MacBook Pro and tons of paperwork without a problem. The little pockets allow a spot for my pens, wireless mouse and other small items. Great bag, great buy!

Nice bag, lovely shape, provide security, but not enough pockets
I had an older version of this bag I lost in 2009 when my house was flooded. Since I walk with two crutches, backpacks seem to be the only better alternatives, but I easily feel the weight on my arms. What I liked about this when I had it, was that the weight seemed equally spread on my upper back area and it seemed less heavy. Since my arms are already carrying my body, any extra weight just leads quickly to fatigue. Well, this new version is still better than a backpack for me yet it is not as convenient as the older one. It is a little bigger so one will expect more pockets (we are in 2011/2012 after all); but no, and the extra pocket is so small that I wonder about its utility. Nice concepts but need a little bit more pockets for writing utensils and technology freaks like me-I would be willing to pay even more as it is that important for me since I have less choice and quality is very important to me. For a person with two crutches who caries ipad and laptop (or even laptop only but too big for ipad only); this is great. A little more pocket and I could even carry a small toilet bag (the apple chords take the remaining space) and use it as my carry on luggage since I do not really use any carry on luggage (cannot do so physically). So great bag but could be better.

Not as great as I thought
I previously owned a Belkin sling pack that was awesome and would fit the appropriate amount of papers to limit me from carrying tom much of nothing. I wanted to try something new so I bought this product. I think the design is sleek but there are some minor flaws. The small pocket in the top of the pack is not supported by any stitches to its walls from the inside so if you have multiple pens or a heavy laser pointer and other stuff, it dangles down once you open the main zipper. Additionally, the sling adjustable strap is not that secure meaning a minor touch to the buckle, the sling elongates. The sling itself is narrower than that of the Belkin product I used before putting more pressure on my left shoulder. Final words: I recommend buying the Belkin sling pack over this, and you would save 50%!!! Belkin Slim Backpack (Black/Light Gray)

Like the original version better
This was an updated version of the Sling Pack that originally came out 4-5 years ago. I liked the original one better as they made some changes on this one that seemed like it lowered the quality overall. The zippers feel cheaper. The materials for pockets feel cheaper. Even the strap/sling feels cheaper. I still like it the design and am happy with the purchase, but I would have paid twice as much for the original.

Great slingshot
Great product, light and functional, I miss the compartments with zipper so that multiple small accessories are not flitting around in the bag, but nothing a couple of ziplock bags can't fix.

Not bad, but I prefer the Northface Recon.
More than a year ago I had my backpack (and MacBook Pro!) stolen. At that point I was using the Northface Recon pack, which I loved. I couldn't find a Recon so this was my second pick. I like this pack, but I don't love it. I use it everyday and I've put a lot of mileage on it (computer and cord out multiple times a day, from the back of my car to the floor at a cafe, international travel, etc.). The bag holds up nice, but doesn't compare to the Recon. POSITIVES: Sleek-looking. Cushy slots for MacBook and iPad. Nice back pocket for keys and other small items. Ultra durable. NEGATIVES: Too heavy. Doesn't "fit" as well as a Northface. No outside pouch or space for easy in-and-out (for a water bottle, sack lunch, etc.). Shows dirt easily. In my opinion, this is the second best backpack on the market, but it's not THE best. For my money, I'd go with the Northface Recon ( The North Face Recon Backpack ). No Recons available, get an Incase.
