I recently purchased the Drymate Whelping Box Liner Mat, and I couldn't be happier with it! The mat is incredibly absorbent and does an excellent job of keeping the area dry, which is essential when dealing with puppies. After each use, I just toss it in the washing machine, and it comes out looking as good as new. It's also much more environmentally friendly than disposable pads, which is a big plus for me. These work great, my open bottom whelping box sits on top a piece cut to fit, then I staple it to the sides of the box so it creates a snug floor. Then box with whelping mat bottom is carefully placed over two Lectro Kennel heat mats placed side by side. My pups are warm and snug those first critical days. Mom can always get out of the box. As pups grow, temperature on one heat mat can be reduced or turned off, while the other can still give a warm place for little pups to lay on. No problems and used this arrangement for years. The whelping mat can be washed in washer and air dry. It provides the perfect gentle warm insulating interface from the plastic heat mat. This whelping mat is easily cut with scissors, does not ravel, is short nap which is not scratched up with thread debris (with my small dogs) and has a durable waterproof backing. Easily cleaned and does not hold moisture at least not with bottom heat.! Made in USA!

Very high quality for puppy welping and the messes of growing puppies. This may was very absorbent for the whelping process and I got the largest mat and folded in half and was able to flip it over for a couple more days of use and then used spray detergent and the hose to clean well and hung on the clothesline. It dried quickly and was very durable. The mother of the puppies was doing a lot of nesting and she was not able to rip this mat at all. The mat is not rough but it’s tough. I got a second smaller size mat so I could rotate and always have a clean mat. Definitely worth the money spent. I ordered less expensive mat but ended up returning it as it wasn’t nearly as high of quality.

It lays flat I don’t have to worry about puppies getting under it. Wished it was thicker and easier to wash in a machine but is great product for a whelping house or for training too. You can pressure wash it also and easy to dry. I never had a leak which is great! Coverage good. Also light weight. Giving it 4 stars because I wish it was thicker but that is a personal preference. It does do the job great! I have reordered many times!

I cut this up into a couple of pieces to fit inside a kennel I use for my house rabbit - I used to use newspaper, but who has enough of that anymore! It works great, washes great, dries pretty quickly for rotations, and still seems like new after using it for weeks. The remainder piece I stuck under my cat's litter box for those few times she pokes her butt over the edge and wets the floor - dang her. Great product!!

The quality was pretty thick. It was soft. The dark color help to hide puppy urine. I was able to wash them pretty easily and I hung dry them. The texture on the material made it easier for the puppies to grip the floor and walk around a little as they were building their strength and their legs. It fit perfectly on the bottoms of my whelping box. It was great puppy protection from my floors. The appearance is kind of a black gray textured surface. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is having a litter of kittens or puppies or any kind of animals that are small.

Looked nice and worked well at first. Puppies are three weeks old now and I am done with this mat. After washing it on sanitizing cycle and cycling it daily with the other mat that came with our whelping pen I am not happy with this mat and will not order again for future litters. The mat fabric keeps pilling on top, and I have had to remove clumps of it periodically so the puppies can’t accidentally ingest it. Not sure if it is from repeated washings or puppies scooting around on it, but the mat that came with the whelping pen doesn’t do this. Waste of money and not safe.

These mats are great, I've used them for my last two litters and the can just be wash in the n=machine and hang dried. I have purchased two different sizes one size for the whelping box and one size for the playpen. I keep several on hand so they can be changed and the others can be washed.

Does the job, absorbs urine and protects the whelping area keeping it clean and dry. Good traction surface for puppies to develop strong legs.

I would recommend these to any breeder. They are super absorbent, don’t smell and are easy to clean. The mother dog can’t dig it up as it has a rubber grip on the backside.

These mats really wick away the moisture and hold all the goo from birthing. Easy to clean in washer, we bought another and have used these for years. Will need more for the next litter!

Used this under vet bedding. Brilliant as it stopped the moisture reaching the floor and easy to wash
