Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite Punch

I have been looking at these for a while and debating on whether or not it was worth it. Don't pause. Just get it. It's worth every dime. So if you need to know why, just have 4 different tools to punch and set grommets and try to keep up with all the parts (me). I now can punch the holes and set the grommets with one tool, just by rotating the little head around. SUPER simple. Very easy to press down, requires very little hand strength, and I feel certain this thing could possibly punch through a meteorite. I won't try that, void the warranty and all, but it's divine. Everything you think this thing will do, it'll probably do better than your current tool, plus you can set a hole in the middle of a 12x12 page with ease. I don't know many people who need that particular function, but the size is a whole bonus thing for a junk journaler (also me). It takes up about as much room as an office stapler (from the 70s) and it weighs about as much as it looks like it does so it's not going to just tip over. It's bottom-heavy, too, so once you sit it there, just leave it there. I wouldn't try to put it in my purse and take it on a plane though, that'd just be silly (in other words there's a portability issue). I will totally be keeping this handy-dandy gadget. The video is the device, but I was actually talking about something else.

This works great but is hard to find the right eyelets. It does not indicate which eyelets to buy. You need the ones that are split ! There are not many choses of these eyelets and when yhuo find them they are very expensive.

This is an amazing gadget! I use this on a daily basis. It's very easy to use. Pretty self explanatory. It can punch through chipboard with ease. It's is slim enough to fit into a narrow space. I highly recommend!

Great for leather, making eyelet/grommet holes in jeans, hats, etc. Also perfect for punching vents in silicone lids (for microwave cooking, covering food as it cools, etc.) What really sets this apart is the long reach, and of course the leverage. Other plier-style punches work fine for narrow items like belts, etc., but if you need to punch holes in a spot further from the edge of the material, like in a hat or jeans, you need a longer reach (or to use a traditional hammer-and-anvil punch). That’s where this punch really shines. This punch requires the material to be somewhat stiff, otherwise you’ll just get a messy tear instead. So for fabrics like everyday cotton and stretchy denim: 1. Fold an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper 4 times, or cut a thin sheet of cardboard into quarters. 2. Place the cardboard or folded paper behind the fabric, as a stiffer backing. 3. Punch a hole through both the fabric and the backing to cut a clean-edged hole. 4. Make sure there’s an uncut area of the backing behind the fabric each time you punch a hole.

I ordered the Crop A Dile 2 Big Bite because it was highly recommended by bookbinders and journal makers. With this tool you can punch 1/8" and 3/8" holes, set eyelets and other decorative hardware. The instructions for the combinations on the tool are included for the different sizes and embellishments. It is very easy to adjust. This hole punch is unique because it has a long reach which is great for bookbinding. The handle is ergonomic and easy to bring down to set eyelets or punch holes. On a flat surface, it is very steady because of the two non skid feet. I have just started to use this and have been very satisfied. This tool can also punch thicker materials so it is very versatile. I highly recommend this tool.

I love this gadget, it's going to make binding a lot easier. And it's the lowest price that I have seen in the past.

Ich habe dieses Gerät schon seit vielen Jahren im Einsatz und habe die zweite Zange zum Verschenken gekauft. Das Teil macht, was es muss und es gibt bei mir kaum bis gar keine Fehlversuche. Lochen und Stanzen in einem Gerät, klappt gut. Problem kann bald werden, dass die Messer unscharf werden. Hin und wieder fransen bei mir die Löcher nun aus. Ob man Messer austauschen kann, müsste ich noch erfragen. Bei dem Preis müsste es eigentlich möglich sein. Ich finde das Gerät sehr teuer! Auch Zusatzmaterial, wie Ösen, ist sehr kostenintensiv. Trotzdem würde ich es mir erneut kaufen, da es gut in der Hand liegt und so zuverlässig arbeitet.
