Absolutely a great little device! A must have
I absolutely love this little thing. I can’t even begin to tell you how useful it is.. I have a dash cam in my car that uses a microSD card and I have the newer iPhone so it uses a type sheet adapter if I’m ever in an accident all I gotta do is take the car out of the dash cam and boom I have the video on my phone, but I’m a videographer. I use my drones for doing videos. I’m gonna begin my trek all around the world here pretty soon, but this little device even sitting in the middle of nowhere I can put the card and transfer the videos to my phone. Do whatever editing I’m gonna do it. It’s absolutely fantastic.! works every single time do not hesitate. To use it on your iPhone, you simply go to the Files tab on your phone that’s where it likes to store files when you plug it in it’ll show up as another folder on your tab and then you just go through each folder and there’s your photos in your videos it’s great

Less is more
Works easily. Gonna need it for my new Google Pixel phone, since there's no sd card slot. I tested it on my current phone, and its just a simple plug and use. Donnot forget to EJECT your Drive before unplugging completely. Worth the money for this little thing. It can be used as a usb drive. Install whatever size memory card.

Works and portable, dont leave card installed
Bought back i may this year, had my first micro sd card break after 3 months of use. Sucks vecause of where the card broke, been using this for phone back ups on the fry when storage gets too full. Wish i could find a keychain micro sd card ready to type that fully protected the sd card so it can be left in. Other than that, great products works well thus far.

Cool Device
I just happened across this while looking around the Amazon web site. Pretty cool little device. I can plug it into my laptop and look at all of the data on a micro-SD card.

Perfect for copying files to & from my Android phone and tablets
This unit fits well into the usb-c ports on my Samsung note 8 phone, my Samsung S3 tablet, and my Samsung S7 plus tablet. It seems to work just fine with all of my microSD cards, even up to 512 MB. This is particularly useful if you have file exploring and synchronizing apps. The two best Android apps I have found are Solid Explorer and SMBsync2. With these two software tools, it is a cinch to copy and backup files from the internal and external microSD cards of your phone and tablets (if equipped) to this device with a microSD card in your usb-c port. Just to be perfectly clear, you have to buy this adapter plus a MicroSD card. The adapter itself provides no storage, just a socket into which you can plug in cards. A file manager like Solid explorer is absolutely essential for taking control of your data and files on Android. you can copy files manually as needed with this software alone. SMBsync2 allows you to mirror folders from the internal MicroSD cards to the USB mounted one on this device. You can manually initiate a folder synchronization, setting one or the other as a master and having all new files deletions, new folders etc all synchronized automatically. You can also pop your microSD card out of this adapter and into a full sized SD card adapter, for use in transferring files to and from your PC with SD card reader slot or by using a full-sized USB to SD card reader device. With all three of these things together, you can easily synchronize and move files among your Android devices and PCs without using wireless networks or cloud services. So when I modify files on one of my Android devices, I plug in this adapter with my master microSD card, synchronize the files/folders with SMBSync2 using the Android device as the master/source, then unmount the USB device and master card, place it in my other devices, and synchronize there in the opposite direction (USB device is the master/source) in order to propagate all of my updates in a manual scheme that does not use cloud storage.

I bought the SmartQ USB-C MicroSD card reader (or OTG adapter) as I was wanting to access some files on a microSD card that I was using as expandable memory for my windows laptop from my Android tablet. The first thing I noticed was that the card reader has a robust build, with a sleek design. Included in the package is a card from SmartQ asking for feedback and offering contact details for if you have any issues. The adapter has a slot for a microSD card on one side and on the other side is a standard USB Type-C connector. You just plug your microSD card into the one side and then slide the USB-C connector into the USB-C port of your device. It slots in easily. I was using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ which worked great. It also worked on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra mobile phone. Once you've slotted the adapter into the USB-C port, your device should inform you that you've got a new USB device connected and then you can go into your device's file explorer and the microSD will show up as external USB storage. You can then access the folders and files on the microSD card just like you can with any internal memory. I was able to view and copy photos and videos from my microSD card with no issues. It works well. I'm was quite impressed. And then, when you're done, you just unplug the adaptor and you good to go. I would say that this microSD USB-C adapter is perfect for using with laptops, phones and tablets that have a USB-C port.

At first I thought this unit got hot and worked slow. I was using genuine Samsung EVO micro SD cards. They would transfer fast for a few seconds then very slow (below 3MBs) I thought this unit was overheating and reducing speed. Later found out that my Kingston Canvas cards transfer very fast and do not get hot. So if you are seeing slow transfers. Check your cards, not only to see if genuine but also do read write speeds. This little unit works amazing and I get 80MBs with my new setup. Highly recommend this adapter and buying quality mico sd cards.
