Leather Shoulder Armor Pauldrons with Neck Guard Gorget

I bought this with the pictured gambeson. The moment the box cracked open the experience began. The satisfying waft of new leather built up the anticipation as I finished opening the box. There, I saw the parts that intuitively fit together. The shape needed some manipulating only because it needed to be boxed for shipping, but also because it’s new leather. The buckles can get turned around and I figured out how to sort that out easily. I popped a couple of rivets being stubborn and abusing a strap or two, but if you’re going to own and use this kind of stuff you’ll need to have a rivet/tap kit and to know how to use it; and it’s not hard to replace a rivet meaning this is simple to maintain. As with any new leather it’ll do great with a rub-down, saddle soap or even old school shoe polish would work, the latter adding a smell that makes it feel like military equipment. If you’ve been to boot camp, you’ll know what I mean. Great communication, arrival almost a week sooner than expected. This seller will be my first stop when I need this kind of gear evermore. Very pleased.
