Great blaster for CQB operaters!
The Rival Zeus is a semi-automatic, magazine-fed, fly-wheel blaster. I found that it was easy to use and it caused one heck of a surprise to my friends when their lame dart-blaster wielding friend pulled this on them! Since there are some drawbacks and misunderstandings I'll go into them in a bit more detail. As many reviewers and youtubers have pointed out, putting in and taking out the magazine is odd and takes practice. When I take out the mag, I usually use my thumb and middle finger to push down on both sides of the magazine release, then use my pointing finger to push it out. While doing this my palm comes up to stop the magazine from springing out, and my hand easily closes around it. I haven't studied how anyone else does it but that is just how I have come to cope with its odd magazine system. As for the rest of the gun, I'll just point out a few things you might want to know. Sights The sights on this gun, at least in my opinion, are totally unsuited for its role. The sights consist of a rear "iron" sight shaped like any rear iron sight, and and a front sight that is the same shape but smaller. The problem is is that when you look through the rear sight the front sight is way smaller than the it. Also, the front sight is hollowed out as if you need to look through it to. Maybe l am just looking at this wrong, but it seems to be an odd choice of sights to put on this gun. Jam door There is a convient jam door on the right side of the gun that is very helpful to clear out jams. Because it is beside the flywheels and not above them, it was really easy to clear out the few jams I had. Batteries The gun takes six C batteries that fit into a tray that slides out of the top-back of the gun. With the weight being dispursed along much of the gun, it really doesn't feel as heavy as it should. Ammo Like any gun in the rival series, this blaster takes rival rounds. ALL TWELVE ROUNDS THAT IT TAKES ARE INCLUDED WITH THE GUN, WHETHER IT'S STANDARD PACKAGING OR HASSLE FREE. The hassle free packaging has the balls located at the BOTTOM of the box, so be sure to check it before you throw it away. User friendliness I found the blaster to be very comfortable to hold and shoot. Again, the magazine design is unconventional and takes some getting used to, but with practice it becomes almost natural. The handle is a bit small for the Rival line but is surprisingly comfortable. Even with the flywheels jutting out a bit the front of the blaster is a good place to put your hand, making the gun quite maneuverable. Overall, this gun is good for people who like to dress up in black clothes and move in SWAT formation like I do:) Good maneuverability, decent capacity, the ability to take magazines and good FPS (90, average, according to other sources) make this a good blaster for CQB and inside playing!

it's a powerful toy. I shot my foot and felt it before I hand it to my 5 years old son, and then let him feel the hit with clothes protected, he nodded and said it's a little pain. So I warned him a lot not to point to anyone, only on some targets by the wall. also the toy didn't come with batteries, you need to buy them yourself.

Bad as a stock blaster, good for modders.
In its stock form, the Zeus is the 2nd worst Rival blaster. (The Ares, the rival shotgun, is the only one I would rank worse.) It uses 6 C cell batteries, but only gives mediocre performance at best. It cannot use the Rival rechargable battery. It jams more than any of my other Rival blasters (and I actually only got through 2 full magazines before I had to take it apart to unjam it.) If you are looking for a primary blaster, the Hera is better in every way for a similar size. A bit larger, the Kaos is superior, and the Rival Nemesis is widely considered to be the best Nerf Blaster ever made. However, the Nemesis and Kaos are too big for smaller nerfers. That said. . . if you are looking for a platform to mod, the Zeus takes the cake. Unlike the Hera, it loads from the rear, and has vertical flywheels. Because of this, you can do all sorts of interesting mods that would be VERY difficult with the other Nerf platforms. One mod that is getting quite popular is to make this blaster into a nerf "proton pack" It is converted to fully auto, and given a flexible tube feed to a backpack full of balls. Several variations on this mod exist, enabling full-auto nerfing with over 1000 rival balls automatically fed from the backpack.

MY DAUGHTERS LOVE IT ONE HAS THE BLUE ONE THE OTHER HAS THE RED ONE. The gun get's jam sometimes, but that is an easy fix. Batteries make the gun a little heavy but not that serious. Hours of fun. Plan on buying the Nerf Khaos Lord willing for myself and going on a nerf shooting spree in the household.. FAMILY WARS LOL 😀

Shoots great! Has good velocity
Shoots great! Has good velocity, and aim is consistent enough to place consecutive shots in a relatively small pattern. The engine hums very loudly, and needs to "spool up" before you get full velocity. Needless to say, stealth kills are not an option with this weapon 😂😂

Lo zeus è Preciso , calcio molto comodo , facile da moddare, le flywheels sono molto più serie rispetto ai normali elite
