Scientific Explorer Disgusting Science Kit

With my son newly turning 5 and loving to experiment at home with items found in my kitchen I figured it was time to pass down his learning resource introduction kit to his younger brother and upgrade him to a much cooler science kit! I feel in love with the variations of the brand and how much they each included and the hours of play and extermination a child could have. In receiving the product I was not disappointed the item included all that was listed, was compacted, and encouraged learning through play which is huge in our household. Additionally, with the vast difference in categories offered by the company you are sure to find one if not all appropriate for your child; I loved them all for my son. In opening the kit to check in out before Christmas I had to recommend it to my mothers group and close friends as all kids should have the amount of fun this educational kit will allow. I highly recommend purchasing this kit as it seems far superior in what it contains in comparison to other products.

My seven year old is VERY interested in all things science related. How things work, chemical reactions, you name it. We’ve bought an ungodly amount of science kits and have always found that we’re paying for cute little vials and bowls and an instruction manual, and we always have to buy the things needed to actually do the expirements. With this kit, you barely have to purchase anything extra. Most “extra” ingredients are generally floating around your kitchen or are under a dollar. Coming from a low income household, we try to live within our means while also cultivating and nurturing his love for science. This made that not only possible, but easy. And the excitements in this kit may be a little gross, but they’re fun and educational. My son and I had fun for an entire day with this kit. Thank you so much to the makers of this. You made my son’s entire Christmas.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 7 year old nephew and he loved it! He loves science and all things gross, so this was a perfect gift!

Fun kit!! I gave it as a gift to a 9-year old, who is being homeschooled. She loves it! The included directions are pretty good, and most of the items needed are included (you will need some additional things - see picture of list). There isn't much info on the science "behind the concepts", but as long as you realize what this kit can be used for, it is great. I highly recommend this product. I bought this for my 5 yr old daughter who was going through a phase where she was in love with all things science related. This kit is fun, but very few experiments inside the box. The book is fun, it gives cool ideas for experiments to do with your children, but I would have preferred if it was more all-inclusive, with all the needed things included it the box.

We purchased this kit as a gift for my 7 year old science lover. She is very interested in germs and couldn’t wait to get started. There are several experiments to do, we started with creating Petri dishes to swab household items. Be prepared to heavily support your younger children with this, it is really a teaching activity and fun to do together. You definitely can’t hand this kit to them and say “go play”. We did four swab tests following instructions and then placed the dishes inside a shoe box and tucked them away, checking on them each day to see progress. By day 7 we had some great results—the kids were truly amazed and disgusted! Mission accomplished I’d say!

Since I have 2 little boys, this was very appealing to them. What was appealing to me was the science lesson they received by doing these experiments. You could definitely do these on your own without buying the kit, but I like a neatly packaged kit full of instructions and all the items you need. This was a full day of science fun, and there was extra do do again on another day.

I bought this (and about 60 other "like" items) to hand out to kids at a company Christmas party. You should have seen the excitement when they picked these out. I don't know whether or not they worked, easy or hard, messy or not... but I can tell you it got children excited in a project. I intentionally purchased items that would be fun to do as a family. I would definitely recommend again.
