two person assembly job
The owners manual is lacking. It does not come with a blade. The blade guides are hard to set. Overall, a very good saw. Well build and sturdy.

First and Last Laguna
This is the first Laguna product I ever bought. The bandsaw looks nice. Works ok. Customer service is nonexistent and the people if you can get a hold of one have no clue what they are talking about much less won't help. Spend the money and buy a Jet orany other vrand for that matter if you want a company that stand behind their products. Laguna does not.

What a beast!
Great Bandsaw, easy set up, lots of power for the hard woods. Only complaint I have is, lots of styrofoam to dispose of. Wish they could use a recyclable packing material.

It will not start
I opened it up, set it up, plugged it in.... crickets. Nothing. Oddly enough the same response from Laguna Support. I opened a case with Laguna support, the guy responds about every 3 days, never answers his phone, and here we are going on 3 weeks with no saw, and no help either... Ill just listen to the crickets.

Good saw but terrible guides
The ceramic guides will not stay in place. No matter how hard I try to tighten them, they still come loose in just a few boards. Very frustrating. Good saw but realize you are going to have to spend another $350 bucks to get some good Carter guides. Now it cuts like it should with the new guides. Dust collection leaves much to be desired also. I would choose something else if I had it to do again.

Lousy Customer Service
I was setting up the bandsaw for the first time. After installing the blade and running the machine for a few minutes there was an audible harmonic that didn't seem correct. I inspected the blade and it seemed fine. I recorded the sound to take the the store where I bought the unit. In trouble shooting the harmonic I tweaked the tension thinking the blade was not tight enough. When I retensioned the blade a metal block at the bottom of the top wheel assembling broke. I took the part and the recording to the store. They indicated that the saw did not sound right and that I should contact customer service. They warned me that customer service was terrible with Laguna but that they should stand behind their product and likely could solve the harmonic issue. It took Laguna two days to return my initial call, then a full week to determine that the broken part was my fault and they would not cover it under warranty. This is the first and ONLY Laguna tool I will ever own.

Good value
Great machine which performs beyond expectations. Reasonably easy to set up.

Laguna customer service is awful
NOT FOR THIS ITEM, BUT FOR LAGUNA, BECAUSE THEY SUCK. When you need parts, good luck. I’ve had this machine for 10 years and have replaced numerous wear items throughout the time. Back in January I ordered another round worth of almost $200 in replacement parts and were told they would ship the next day. I’m still waiting. I’ve been charged for them. I don’t have them. I’ve called customer service more times than I can count and each time I am told they understand that there’s an issue and that they will call me by the end of the day to let me know what the status is. I have never received a return phone call. Their customer service is awful. I was overjoyed when I learned that SuperMax had improved on the original Performax, which I also own. When I learned that Laguna bought out Supermax, I knew it would be down hill from there. I just didn’t realize how down hill
