I find these to be the best treatment for my water butt. One tablet a week in my 220 litre water butt keeps away the horrible smell of stagnant water.

Super for helping to keep water in water butt clear. Harmless to .I've yet to see how often I need to check the regular use of the tablets .I bought a drain pipe metal guard at the same time to prevent so many leaves entering the down pipe.

After reading of other gardeners suffering from stagnant and smelly water butts, I looked around for a suitable solution; these small tablets certainly work. They clear the water and rid the butt of those unpleasant smells quickly. The pack contains a decent number of tablets (12 I think), so they'll last the Summer into Autumn. Recommended, as it does what it says it will.

This has made a difference but it's early days yet. I think it needs to be used for several months before the full benefit is reached.

These worked well. Cleaned my water butt and removed algae.

I noticed loads of gnats around my water butt. Popped one of these in the barrel and the gnats disappeared, including the slightly stagnant smell. Still use the water to do my plants, all good.

Nutzung bei mir für eine 100 Liter Wassertonne zur Balkonbewässerung mit kleiner Tauchpumpe und Tröpfchenbewässerung von Frühling bis Herbst. Keine Beeinträchtigung dieser Technik. Für 100 Liter reicht tatsächlich eine halbe Tablette. Der Einsatz hat sich über die Jahre bewährt (schon mehrfach bestellt). Das Wasser kippt auch nicht um (faul werden). Verpackung wieder verschließbar (Inhalt riecht etwas streng). Sehr schöner "Helfer".
