What are the ingredients in this product?

I should note that potassium hydroxide is quite caustic...slightly less so than sodium hydroxide, which most people know as lye, and if you're a stickler, potassium hydroxide historically used to also be called lye. I have a spot on a pinkie where I let a drop of liquid lye set for awhile, while making soap, and it ate clear thru the living skin. It healed, but it will never be pigmented again. So as a chemist, I urge you all to use this product with lots of caution, and follow the directions to a T. I'll be buying this product, and reviewing it after use.

What if it gets on my foot area that is not callused,what will happen?? Thanks

Not sure. I’ve only applied it to my calluses.

Is this gel or liquid consistency?

Its gel consistancy and very powerful...so use gloves and take off exactly in 15mnz...then repeat if necessary callous is not flatten or removed to your liking...but do know it definitely works..

I see reviews that had a hard time removing the product. How do you wash this off your skin so you are not causing burns?

I planned for the process to take about 30 minutes, total so I grabbed a good book to read. I sat on the edge of the bath tub (portable plastic container would work). I roughed the calluses on my feet up just a little and let them soak in the water for 10-15 minutes. I drained that water and towel dried my feet. Then using a rubber glove I applied the Callus Remover to the hard parts of my feet. That does make the feet slippery so definitely do NOT try to stand up in the bath tub. I left it on my feet for about 10 minutes and then took water, a wash cloth, and some soap and it came right off. Then I used a pumice stone made for removing calluses from the feet and my calluses came right off without much work.

Quality of item received is suspect

The product received had multiple stickers showing different import months, no tamper proof seal, no company branding on the bottle. It had a wrinkled sticker and a tin foil cap. Nothing that inspires trust in a consumer that this is a genuine product.
