A very cool knife
This is my 4th Oerla fixed blade knife. I want to get all the fixed blades. It is a beast of a knife. This knife is not for sissy’s! It’s a man’s knife and rugged to the bone! They all come paper slicing sharp and the edge has a mirror polish d shine. It’s a bit heavy but a man knows that it’s going to get the job done. My oldest Oerla Knife 4 years old. It has taken everything I can throw at it. I use its rugged features several times a week when wood working. I keep it sharp, stropped and oiled. A 74 year old man does that. Buy it great price to performance ratio!! UPDATE: I purchased this knife because it was just cool looking. It thrusts very well as expected. It also tears up some wood fast with the super sharp blade. I now use it around back country camp sites. I keep it sharp and it rocks on!

Hefty!
I thought this would make a nice camp knife and chopper... sort of a smaller kukri or bolo style blade that should good for lopping off vines and smaller branches. Thick spine and quite heavy. Or you can choke up on it for more control. Sharp! Love the grip texture. Kydex sheath is very nice. Unsure about the plastic clip but I can replace that if I don't love it.

Love this knife!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I got this because I live in a place where you can carry a knife but not a firearm. I wanted a self defense item and I carried it in the field too. This knife can take a beating!!!! Durability: I have yet to see a knife that can handle coconuts, trees, wild game, fish, and still stay sharp! This knife is a pure workhorse! Balance: When holding the grip, this knife is more balanced than you can imagine! It would be like Thanos giving a speech about balance while holding it! Incredible design!

Love the feel and weight
The knife looks like the picture simple but important. It has functioned great. Quality it does not look cheap. It is a bit heavy but I like that personally. Has held up to usage. Great value in my opinion

Excellent value for the price
Purchased this knife to carry on my plate carrier as a tactical CQB option, excellent blade retention, razor sharp edge, extremely good value for the price. Well-made excellent knife. Feels good in my hand, agile and easy to use for everything from chopping kindling to combat.

What is the beef...?
I read all the complaints and praises about this knife before I bought it. The complaints are superfluous, unless the complaintants got another knife or just happened to get an odd one that was flawed. This knife, for its price point, is absolutely perfect. My tastes run to the more unusual in knives and this one and another I bought are perfect! I am not only sucprised but astonished at the quality of the knives. The sheaths are just as perfect. So many knives I get are screwed up due simply to sloppy craftsmanship. A blade is rarely sharpened symmetrically and unless you have special tools, fixing them is nearly impossible and very time consuming. I send every one back, hoping someone will get the message. If Oerla keeps their good work up and expands their line (many of their models I don't like), they have a very hopeful future. Thanks Oerla for putting effort in the right places other than just sticking your hand out and trying to get easy money from gullible customers.... N

PROS: I love the unique multi-usage blade design! Thick and sturdy full tang 420hc stainless steel. Razor sharp edge. Great, light Kydex sheath with very good retention. Nice presentation box. C0NS: Handle feels too heavy in hand. Point of balance is too far back in the handle. Plastic handle is too thick and is not made of G10. Too many hot spots on the overly-textured grip. The 'Tek-Lok' style belt clip positions the knife much too high around the waist which will dig in to your side all the time. SOLUTIONS: This knife needs thinner, less textured G10 or Micarta grips. The blade should be longer than 4 inches for a better point of balance. The sheath could have a nylon or a leather dangler-belt loop for better comfort and reachability. These are strictly the opinions of a long-time knife lover and collector.
